Being a Gaga fan is actually the best.

I do, as far as spending time following an artist goes. I stan for talent and creativity...someone who is passionate about their work and contributes heavily to the writing and concepts behind their music and the presentation of their music.

Others stan for charts and success, and that's okay, but some do not. I need more from an artist than that. I can enjoy a song or several songs from any artist, but to get my long term interest in an artist, is going to take more than a few catchy songs or chart success.

Brava! :applause:

I LOVE reading your posts.    These are exactly my thoughts.

Thank you!!!

I swear, I know that she knows what she is doing. My God, this girl has been ARTPOP since her Fame and Monster days. Born This Way defines her state of mind. Her core sound belongs in that one the most. Proving Pop can be Art once again in those bore days.

The Fame: Genius girl rocking out with Just Dance. I swore she was just some irrelevant starlet until it caught a tingle to my ears. Pokerface came out, three listens and was terrified what this chick could do. Bopped my head to Lovegame with that generic video. Paparazzi was an ARTPOP early tease, tormenting my mind with that vibrant, lovely Paparazzi beat. Then VMAs 09 won my ass over. I was insta Monster.

The Fame Monster: Bad Romance blew wigs off left and right. I'm not sure why a trashy song like Tik Tok (I bop, dont worry) can block it. Bad Romance was pure bliss to us Gaga fans. Her stance in the music scene being challenged with a dangerous video she made. Unlike any, beautiful ARTPOP, indeed. Telephone bopped my head harder than LoveGame. Dance in the Dark was my personal soul song that I could dance to forever, while Alejandro rightfully deserves to be a single, closing the Monster era? Na, but it did its job. And her extension of The Fame, which is The Fame Monster, Part 2 of The Fame, truly defined her artistry.

Born This Way: Test. Inner strength pouring out. Testament of pop music. Art turned sour to the audience but they wouldn't look away, she still won most of that year next to Adele. Gems throughout the album. The darkness carried from The Fame Monster injected into Born This Way's DNA, because it's who she is to the pop world. A dark Goddess of pop with tremendous amounts of love for her fans, community of love affairs. My God this woman. Born This Way shook me waiting at 4 AM to listen to it for the first time. I love this woman. (Btw, the teasing in the Government Hooker/ S*** were GREAT) For a 2nd album, she passed that sophomore test with colours flying out of everyones' ass.

ARTPOP: Third charm, third album. She got rid of what was gutting in her mind. Let me tell the people that ARTPOP exists. I've been doing it the whole time. Her rockstar head wants chaos, and she gave it for the lashings of trolling. Electronic demons are in some of these songs. Fans love them. It may not have been her massive hit album she wanted. But she knew it'd happen sooner or later with all this fame she devoured. Applause was authentic, radiofriendly, and just making people begging for her songs for her ARTPOP album to be explored. Such a lighthearted single after the two darker eras of albums beyond her head.

Guys. Her next album will be our favorite, and her favorite more than the others, indeed. She says this all the time. But with hints. This album will be insane. And make her a star of music.

These inner thoughts. I love this woman.

Dear Stefani, it's an honor to be along for the ride.

For me Gagas success is measured only by her growth and change as an artist. All the things that pop stans use to put one artist against another mean nothing an are counterproductive to artistry. Gaga continues to grow musically and vocally, and finds great mentors to take her in different directions and add depth and breadth to her career. Her career will be whatever she wants it to be and that is exciting. And under everything is that godly voice, which is why she'll work as long as she wants. If your measure is some form of pop culture impact then maybe she'll "fade", but who gives a crap where she fits on Pop Stan scales. I'm here to see where her artistic direction takes her and watch her personal growth as human and artist.

I think it would be good if she released POP every year like Rihanna used to

Then she would be perfect

What do you base this on though? It's only 6 years and she is already fading

That is why we are all praying that she comes back strong with her next album so that she gets out of this underdog status that she is in rn

Not you wanting her to crap out basic music every year and not take her time making quality music while keeping her integrity.

And she's fading? Yea okay, just cause she's not as big as in 2010 doesn't mean she's fading. Everyone reaches some top or threshold, you can't expect someone to stay up at the top so high forever.

Some fan you are, go to ATRL or something

I totally agree, OP! Gaga made waves and continues to make them. People are going to remember her, and she's going to be around doing great things for a very long time. I'm proud to be a fan.

This, so much ****ing tea, i rather stan for an artist with talent & critically acclaimed that "chart succes" & all of that ****, thats why i stan for gagz, bjork, portishead, massive attack & **** like that, if people care about charts & pretty videos there's a lot of choices out there

You touched on something that I've also been thinking about. I was wondering why certain fan favorite videos like "Telephone" don't sit well with me. It's nothing against the filmmakers, and it's not that they're weak, but it just doesn't resonate with me.

And then I realized that some of my favorite Gaga videos ("Applause", "Marry the Night", "Born This Way") have this authentically strange, handmade feeling to them. They're not glossy or slick or precise. They're just.... Gaga.

Those are my favorites too & the messy Alejando & TEOG  :toofunny:  everybody wants: TELEPHONE 2.0 & BAD ROMANCE 2.0, and i don't even know what that mean, the same **** with another lyric? i mean, i hate when some artists always do & sound exactly the same, and that is one of the best part of Gagz, you can relate to different styles & you can go to different songs depending on your mood, her versatility is something refreshing that not everybody is aware of it, they just want a catchy pop song & outrageous outfits & that is so sad

The entire TF era was that super slick type of thing, musically and visually.  I get that some people like that, but many Gaga fans are not traditional pop fans almost precisely because its all has too much the look of being "machine made."

My thoughts exactly. It's little disorienting when people say things like, "She should be more authentic, like when she first came out." And knowing what we know now, I can't help but think that was her at her least authentic.
