Didymus 34,379
Yuck. Don't like the pointing fingers theme. Insecurities are personal issues. And I can't really take it serious when all those guys look like they could easily get a ton of girl/boyfriends.

And I can't really take it serious when all those guys look like they could easily get a ton of girl/boyfriends. It's society, just like with women (though to a lesser degree). Men joke about women with small breasts/butts and women joke about men with small penises. Magazines photoshop women to be thinner and men to be more muscular. Although men get it to a lesser degree, it is still prevalent. It isn't a personal issue when society pushes for these standards and is less accepting of the norm. People tell me I am cute, but I greatly disagree. I think I am the worst looking thing on the planet (which is a personal thing), but it's somewhat influenced by societal expectations. BoomKack 6,501
some of the comments tho This though. "You know what makes you a man? Not giving a **** what other people think. That's what makes you a man." pretty sure identifying as a man makes you a man... just saying Edit: what pisses me off the most about these comments that in order to praise this video, they have to bash womens issues. This isn't a contest to see who has it worse for gods sake!
Didymus 34,379
How can you know they don't have insecurity and body issues? I don't. But this video is not about them, it's about sending a message to the viewer. And it's just not convincing (to me). Well, sure, but we can learn people how to deal with that pressure/those insecurities. Blaming it on "society" or the people who (also influenced by society's norms) make fun of men's bodies is just the lazy move. That's why I don't think this message of "it's my body" is effective because it doesn't really say much. In the end everything is a choice and everything is personal. Society is not a solid, it cannot tell us what to do or what to feel. It's only because whatever ruling powers don't want to arm us with psychological protection from "it" that there is this insecurity issue at all. In my opinion :lollipop:

And I can't really take it serious when all those guys look like they could easily get a ton of girl/boyfriends. it's nothing to do with them having a relationship tho, it's about them telling us all to accept ourselves and others as we are instead of just adding to the problems people have with their own bodies etc and i think it's a noble thing to do when most of the comments on the video are from misogynistic men & woman
Bye 3,947
How can you know they don't have insecurity and body issues? You are right, of course, all men can have body issues. Oh well they shouldn't because they look good :)

It's only because whatever ruling powers don't want to arm us with psychological protection from "it" that there is this insecurity issue at all. In my opinion :lollipop: Well, even if I accepted my body it doesn't mean society will. People will say I am less of a man for not being able to grow substantial facial hair. I'm not saying we should blame society as a whole. Society has influence. Society dictates customs, culture, etc. When people aren't psychologically strong enough to accept themselves we should help. It's like you acknowledge the fact that someone doesn't fit the norm (yes you are too skinny or you don't have any muscles and that's quite a shame and you should probably work on looking as amazing as you can) but you just don't say it or you disguise it as "be yourself", whatever that means.
