She didn't write that song about Gaga, be smarter please.

I know she didn't, but still doesn't make sense

Most deluded post I've seen on this thread. Anyways... your opinion<<<<<<<<<< all the critical acclaim the album is getting everywhere, including here (a Gaga site)

But what gets my attention the most is you dropping those two words I bolded. Can you at least be capapble of ellaborating why these songs would be basic and predictable in any way? Or in comparison to some of Gaga's work?

Ps. Joan of Arc is not related to Gaga or Madonna's feud with her in any way :awkney:

My opinion is mine and I just stated it.

They're simple and not catchy at all for me.

Maybe Joan of Arc is not about Gaga, but she can't spread hate and then say she feels bad when someone says bad thing about her.

Rating after first listen. Subject to change after repeated listens.

Living for Love - 7/10 - Doesn't do anything for me but a good song.

Devil Pray - 7/10 It would have been higher except for the silly sniff glue.

Ghosttown - 9.6/10 Great song.

Unapologetic Bitch - 10/10 Just because I love it and love the energy.

Illuminati - 9/10 - Great beat. I've loved this song from the beginning

Bitch I'm Madonna - 0/10 Sounds like a Britney song. I just can't rate it as a Madonna song.

Hold Tight - 10/10 It's really quite beautiful, I think. I love the soundscape to it

Joan of Arc - 10/10 Aw, Madonna, you might have me back as a devoted fan with this song. Such heart in it.

Iconic - 9/10 Oh, hell, yeah.

Heatbreak City - 9/10 I love this Madonna. "Tore me into pieces. Didn't have no damn reason."

Body Shop - 10/10 One of the best songs and a surprise. I love the twists it takes, very unique. Dayum, Madonna.

Holy Water - Cringeworthy 0/10 for a Madonna song. "Bitch, get off my pole." She's overdoing religious references to an embarrassing degree, and I'm over it by this song which is overloaded. It's a holy trainwreck is what it is. Lazy, immature lyrics. Too bad. I like the production on it. I'm cannot believe Madonna put this crap on the standard album. Whata shame. She could have put in its place a more experimental song bonus track. Anything would be better than Holy Water.

Inside Out - 10/10 - Ah-mazing. I love everything about it.

Wash All Over Me - 10/10 - Another favorite song. I think it's my favorite still. Simply Madonna at her best. I haven't listened to the demo in a long time. So I can't compare it, which is better. I will go back and listen when I have the time. But this is a stunning song.

So more pluses than minuses. I could take this album down to an 11-song album and just get lost in it.

I haven't got time to go through the bonus tracks yet. I listened to some of them back a month ago. I know I loved Veni Vidi Vici when I listened to. So sly. I loved it.

You still haven't answered my question. Simple and not catchy are not synonyms to 'basic' and 'predictable'. Pick up a thesaurus at least. Most Beatles songs are simple, they're great tho. Most Bjork songs are not catchy, yet they're brilliant.

You aren't making any sense.

I have listened to the album two complete songs, and I have already attached to favorites and not-so-favorites. It's hard to listen to this album all the way through because it is SO LONG. I've edited the album down to 17 tracks in a "revised rebel heart" playlist. Here's my quick review.

Standouts: Living For Love, Devil Pray, Ghost Town, Illuminati, Hold Tight, Joan of Arc, Heartbreak City, Wash All Over Me. Veni Vidi Vici, Messiah, and Addicted.

Honorable Mentions: Unapologetic Bitch, Bitch I'm Madonna, Holy Water, Inside Out, Rebel Heart, Beautiful Scars.

Fillers: Iconic, Body Shop, Best Night, S.E.X., Queen, Borrowed Time, Graffiti Heart, and Autotune Baby.

I enjoyed the more emotional simplicity of Joan of Arc, Heartbreak City, and Messiah. It offered a break from the other heavy-synth/beat songs. Joan of Arc is okay still, but I will be replace HBC and Messiah with the leaked demo versions.

In my opinion, WAOM, Addicted and RH were all better in their leaked demo states, even though I do enjoy the synth-heavy somber version of WAOM. Rebel Heart was much better in its original state. I will be replacing both Addicted and RH with their original versions. I will tack on the dance version of WAOM as a bonus track.

Inside Out is okay, but I shortened it to cut out the final chorus, it was getting to be too much. A good stopping point is 2:55.5 stopping point, therefore, it adds a short/sweet song to the album. On Veni Vidi Vici, I absolutely love how she references so many past songs. I wish she would have done a third verse of Music - MDNA! Love the bass in this song  :music:

Beautiful Scars is a nice bop. I was surprised this was one of the 6 "super deluxe" tracks to make the cut.

For the fillers / hated material, I just can't get into Body Shop. It just sounds completely out of place for me; plus hearing Madonna talk about cars makes me laugh, because to be honest she probably doesn't know anything about them. She probably doesn't even pump her own gas.  :flop:

Best Night is too repetitive, even though I will say this is the best of the fillers. The Erotica references are on point. S.E.X. is... I don't even know. Just no. Queen is cute, but doesn't need to be here. Borrowed Time demo is WAY BETTER an I am tempted to include it into my final cut. Graffiti Heart doesn't do anything for me, and Autotune Baby, well.. let's just say it's her worst track in history.
