Doogi 1,506
So my Music Video was deleted off of YouTube quite a while ago… But it's back up now! Please watch and let me know what you think of my first song and video ever. Hopefully one day I can make a great living off of my music and give back to my favorite site ever, GGD.http://youtu.be/hYwpiSOpBNQ I'm Chloe. Except the C and the L are silent. Jenniferella 2,774
I'm going to be completely honest on this. The production of the song is well done, the sound is clear and your voice is pleasant to hear. But then, and it only comes from my personal tastes, I think some elements of the song and the video are cheesy, cliché. I'm sure you can do something more original and interesting in the future. I insist on the fact that you have the right cards to begin with, I just think you could play differently to stand out from the many other artists who share the same dream as you. destructivelove 558
See my issue is that this song is actually really well produced and I could jam to it. But the music video does it absolutely no justice. First there's no storyline...the purpose of a music video in most cases is to make the song content easily digestible and translate the lyrics into a visual story. There's also not much creative aspect. There's not really individuality. Nothing sets you apart visually from any other middle/high school student shooting a lip synch video for a class project. Think story-line, personal inspiration in design and props, visuals!!, and possibly an actual photographer. Not that you have to pay a lot of money, but try putting an ad online/Facebook or a local art school for film students who are artistically and visually creative and want to add to their portfolio. Most will do it for free just to add to their body of work. Also, try adding some creativity and spark to your wardrobe. Although personal style is important, I'm not sure how professional a cutoff looks. Even just finding cool accessories from a local thrift store or resale shop can make a huge difference. I don't mean this input to sound hostile. But in order to have fans spend their hard earned money on you and want to spend their time talking to others about you eventually, (assuming you'd like to become known more widespread) you need to set yourself apart. I think for where you're at currently in your career, the musical production and vocals are actually pretty impressive. Now give that a platform to show its true potential, and you may have a legitimate marketable product!

Just to give the song SOME kind of visual. But I really appreciate your advice and constructive criticism! Thank you so much I'm Chloe. Except the C and the L are silent.
