No one wants to leave Eurozone. Its just a negotiation card that Tsipras must not play. Greece will not go bankrupt because Europe and the greek people will not let it.

I agree with you...we are in ( 28 member states )  one union in good and bad things...and Greece and the EU will get stronger and with more compassion among eachother after all of this...the end of crisis is near

No, at that level, money isn't actually taken from, say other countries in the EU zone and given to Greece, the ECB "buys" the debt. Greece is actually broke right now, BROKE, they have no penny to give away, they borrowed 140B$ which became 240B$ over years with the bank interest that was imposed on Greece. Do you expect a broke country to give 240B$? Where from?

Greece can actually decide to leave the EU zone, the ECB will keep adding interests to that gigantic amount of money with no hope at getting refund, this way the EU zone will be in danger. Because imaginarily they think they will have those 240B$ one day, which won't happen.

You guys are being harder on Greece than ISIS, get to know who your enemies are tbh  :coffee:

What do you do when you're broke?

a. Spend less

b. Spend more

you decide

I cannot have sympathy for someone who has already been bailed out of debt at the hands of others just to ask for more. Germany is not as great as people think but they carry the EU.

England must be so happy they have pounds because EU has flopped.

I live in Canada and while we didn't have a recession the world did, we are facing one now. Geroge Bush was a war criminal who took down his country and the world with his war and violence crazed antics. Other countries suffered and still do for it. Obama may not be my president but I support Obama as a man and leader, George was a child and Hillary is a leader

Canada had jack layton and now we have Justin btw VOTE for a real leader Justin. all this will end

before people attack me I have visited many of these countries as a student and seen their cultures. I bare no prejudice. Just a desire for the free world to be for everyone and countries to progress

Yes Forbes yes.

My great grandmother died from what you call  70 year old receipts so you better stop talking.

That has nothing to do with this. Many European countries suffered from the second worldwar, and nobody has ever been desperate enough to look back that far to blame a country for something.

Greece has been a financial MESS for the past 50 years and Greeks are going to fix that, not Europeans. That's what they get for ignoring the whole Maastricht treaty for over 10 years and lying about their finances for years.

Forbes is very reliable by the way :rip:

The currency did and that is what I meant...EU has no power anymore. The pound does. Germany is trying to save it but cant when other countries default on loans.

I want Greece to leave the Eurozone. I had trust in them with all of their austerity and cuts, but I lost that trust after Syriza won. Greece will not improve their way of spending when they're out of the crisis. Syriza is doing exactly what caused this crisis in the first place: overspending.

 I think you are wrong

But Tsipras did say he will deepen the reforms...we have to wait and see what he wanted to say with it

The racism in here  :wtf:

Calling a whole nation corrupted.

1. Greeks are not another race. The majority is Caucasian like the most Europeans.

2. Just because you call a country corrupt, it's mostly meant the government. This has nothing to do with an individual attack on a Greek person.

Yes, no one says that Greece must not pay their debt

BUT

Europe cannot expect from people to live like animals earining 300 euros a month in order to pay their debt. A solution must and will be found.

Yeah, yeah..like animals...Bull****!!! With 15th and 16th salary you definitely lived like animals. Now it's time to pay the bill. No one in Europe is responsible that Greece has no economy, that your politicians are corrupted and the credo of every greek is "I'll not pay taxes, I'll not have financial discipline, I'll spend as much as I like"...Before asking for reduction of the debt, you better ask yourselves what did you do to reform your economy and country!? I can answer you that - NOTHING! You want to continue to live like before without suffering the consequences. Well that's not gonna happen.

PS: If, however greeks manage somehow to reduce their debt, I'll be the first to start a petition in Bulgaria to oppose this decision. No one helped us in 1997 when my country has declared bankruptcy..No one cared when the average salary was 3 dollars and there was a hyper inflation. However we learned the lesson the hard way and today Bulgaria has the second lowest debt to GDP ratio in Europe (only 20%) compared to 180% in Greece. It's time for you to learn these lessons. Because it is very easy to live on someone's else money.

Spain is better now, italy is still trying but for the people who invented math, Greece, My gosh get a grip. Their arrogance and lassie fair life style fuked them up

Spain had good finances, but their banks were a mess and Greece, Italy and Portugal dragged them into the crisis. I feel bad for them considering it's not their own fault they got into this crisis.

All South European countries are doing great besides Greece, because Syriza made intrest rates go from 4%->15% and scared away foreign investors.

Best that could happen is that Syriza fails to do everything they wanted and give up.

No, it's not failed yet. just because some countries dance out of line ,it's not doomed.

It's a good idea and I hope it gets better in the future.
