There's still a lot of ignorance surrounding/towards the transgender community and hopefully, if E! did it right, they could help raise awareness on a lot of the struggles that people who have or are transitioning face. I think people will see the situation less as a transwoman seeking attention as a Kardashian and more as a Kardashian seeking attention as a transwoman, as most people would deem it to be a matter of attention anyway. It wouldn't pose much of a stigma against the trans community as it would against the Kardashians. Like Cheryl Cole is most commonly called that, even though she divorced Cole and married someone else.
