I like how her being one of the very few contemporary artists to be listed with those legends from the past. It shows how powerful and iconic she is. Bad Romance is undoubtedly a modern classic, well said Billboard! I think in 5 years if people still appreciate Applause, it could be listed as a #4 appreciation hit.

I keep forgetting Bad Romance never reached the #1 in the US, I think BR topped the charts over here for a only a week in early 2010 and I was so glad because she undeniably deserved that spot.

Yeah

Wow i cant believe Bad Romance almost didnt go #1 there.

Such bad timing for BR, chartwise, as there are songs that don't even go 4x or 3x platinum in the U.S. but hit the top spot for multiple weeks because they get lucky.

When "Imagine" by John Lennon peaked at #3, it's clear that charts absolutely don't matter one tiny bit to whether music is remembered now.
