You're welcome :). I'm sorry I generalized and thought it was intentional.

Rabbit Heart

I don't even understand why is Sam Smith so popular :/

I honestly don't like him, and don't find him talented as most of the world does, it's a little bit hard for me to listen to his voice :/

He's not bad, I like Money on my mind and La la la, I just think he's overrated!

Fun fact: If Stay With Me wins a Grammy for Record of the Year, Tom petty will have a Grammy in his hands.

Is there only one grammy trophy shared between several or there are several trophies for one win?

Record of the Year is awarded to all the writers and people involved with the song, which Tom would be included. Song of the Year is for the singer only I believe. Tom would get credit for the Grammy win, but I'm not sure if he will have his own physical Grammy trophy.

That may be because Sara supported Katy and didn't care too much, didn't sue and even performed Roar onstage with Katy and sang Brave at the same concert :rip:

meSS omg :rip:

I think the controversy has helped her.

I think the controversy has helped her.

yeah it brought Brave a bit more of popularity and I think may be the reason why she was relevant enough for the Grammys to nominate her amazing album, she didn't win though

Wow I'm surprised the media is finally covering this. The press was all over gaga for BTW when it barely resembles EY.

i don't see how having a similar or the same melody constitutes stealing there's like a million songs that sound similar to each other honestly these irrelevant artists and their money hunger from #1 stars

Woah woah woah tom petty is not irrelevant!

I think you have them mixed up. Roty is for the recording, performance, sound engineer, production, etc. SOTY is mainly songwriters and musicians

I just looked it up:

Despite both the Record of the Year award and Song of the Year being awarded for a single or for one track from an album, this award (SOTY) goes only to the composer(s) of the song whereas the Record of the Year award goes to the performer and production team of the song.

I'm not exactly sure which Tom would be credited for :smh:

I also saw this:

Songs containing prominent samples or interpolations are not eligible

Uh oh... :teehee:
