I thought that Gaga was going to bring something unique to it with ARTPOP, but it wasn't anything special. Don't get me wrong, I love ARTPOP but all in all it was just another EDM record. I think she wants it to sound more authentic and less artificial. R.A.M by Daft Punk is a good example of how you can use organic percussion and instruments over electronic synth to make something that is both.
