Howard Stern: "I love that Sam Smith is fat"

LOL that's like saying if I see family violence I better hush about it because I am not their family counsellor. You should ask yourself: "Are we helping society by letting them smoke their health away and eat their health away?"

Secondhand smoking is totally relevant to this issue. They truly realise that them smoking affects other people too. Yet they continue to do so without concern for other people's wellbeing. And with your logic I should just allow them to smoke my health away because I am not in the right position to comment? LOL.

What kind of disastrous comparison.

It's not completely relevant because smokers should indeed refrain from smoking around other people. But there are smokers who get **** and lecturing for smoking privately without harming anyone else.

I don't need Sam Smith's medical records.  I have my uncles who was overweight his whole life and wouldn't listen when people would tell him to LOSE THE WEIGHT!

A massive heart attack later and he finally got the message.  Sadly for him he is only in his early 60s and due to carrying his weight for so long he can no longer walk without a walker even after losing weight because the damage was already done.

But you know best.  Keep stuffing your faces people.  Stuff away.

Oh and tanning beds.  Perfectly healthy for you!  Doesn't cause skin cancer at all.  As long as you feel good looking like a baked potato.

You sound neurotic.

The lives of other people are of no concern to you. Don't police other people's lives.

Are there seriously people that think that this boy is fat-obese with health issue due to weight?

Seriously I don't have words at this point.

Like I said, somebody needs mirrors in their home and an oculist.

Obviously if you're overweight you have a risk of health problems. Same as being too skinny. That's not what we're talking about though, so can we stop using that as an argument? This is about respect and acceptance. Sam Smith is in the ****ing music industry, you think he isn't aware of his weight? He probably sees comments everywhere he goes about it. Which is a shame because he's a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. You all are acting like you are so generous like you're trying to be a good person and help, but all you're doing is being a keyboard thug and making matters worse. A DOCTOR can tell Sam Smith if he needs to lose weight or not if it's detrimental to his health, not some little kid on the internet that thinks he's superior because they're super skinny.

Dude, when you have Sam Smith's medical records, then you can comment on how bad his health is. Otherwise, don't make assumptions.

Yeah! I'd never ****ing comment on anyone smoking. If they were blowing it in my face or something, I'd say something or walk away. But I'd never lecture them on the health effects of what they're doing. They know. Everyone knows. You hear about it all the time. It's their choice to do that and they have the right. Not my problem.

haha, course I am not going to approach and lecture them. did i come across as being prissy? haha, i truly couldn't care less about other people. LOL. but it is sad that we have to give up our rights to a spot when other people's smoke affect us out of courtesy.

Yes.  The health of my uncle who almost died in his early 60s is of no concern to me.

Are you on crack?

I'm sure berating him about his weight helped a lot.

My best friend is a size 0 at her biggest. She is a personal trainer, has never smoked and hardly ever takes a sip of alcohol. I've never been around anyone else who eats as healthy consistently as she does. Guess what? She has taken cholesteral medicine for years. Her sister is the same and she has already had heart surgery. My cousin is an athlete and is diabetic. I could give you the same stories in reverse, people I know who are on scholarships at college for sports, but are still overweight or people who are overweight but are lead an extremely healthy lifestyle.

Skinny =/= Healthy Overweight =/= Unhealthy

They are exceptions everywhere. Everybody knows about familial hypercholesterolemia which is hereditary. But you cant deny the fact that unhealthy lifestyle is the force for a lot of disease of nowadays´. Hence the heart attack and colon carcinomes are one of the highest reasons why people die in my country and bad lifestyle has dominant effect on this. You can only help your health by exercise and eating healthy which Sam clearly doesnt do and we can be almost  sure that it will have bad  aftereffect when he will be 70 y o.

Yes rareigos sometimes people that are skinny get health issues as well.  Just like sometimes people that don't smoke still get lung cancer.

Doesn't mean that smoking doesn't STILL lead to cancer and unhealthy eating doesn't STILL lead to health problems.

These kind of comments are the worst because you make assumptions about the health of a person based on their body when you have no actual clue.

Totally agree, also with other previous points of yours.

I'm surprised it took this long for the fat shamming to begin.

Yes, being overweight is unhealthy and should be addressed. But YOU trying to dictate other's lives and making them feel horrible for their condition is so ****ing vile. People are overweight for different reasons. Eating disorders, depression, other medical conditions, poverty, or simply not wanting to eat healthy, or a combination of all of those. YOU don't know what people are going through and YOU don't know if they're trying to lose weight. Only THEY know and yes there are stubborn people who don't feel the need to lose wight but calling them names isn't helping them out at all.

Don't care about what they do in private tbh, just don't affect me please.  :classy:
