Listen at least one interview from him and you'll notice he's full of irony, and deliciously shady in a totally not serious way. I love Karl Didn't he call Adele fat like two years ago? No, he said she was beautiful but "a bit overweight", the press made a huge story out of it and Karl apologized sending Adele his whole Chanel handbag collection. Similar to how Gaga said she hates flip-flops because they are the start of not giving a f*ck about your looks anymore. Gaga just said it in a friendly way, while Karl said it in a controversial way. He obviously likes some people that aren't considered to be classic beauty's. He has expressed his love for Lady Gaga, Beth Ditto, Florence Welch, ... What he does is looking into himself, wondering "What do I want to express NOW?". You say he isn't sincere? Well, his creative process leaves no place to hypocrisy, that's all I'm gonna say.
