2 men stabbed to death in Islamophobic attacks

You were literally saying it's their fault if they were killed for their drawings and not at all the fault of terrorists who want to spread fear and death :smh: You're not fooling anyone :smh: The only hate speech is from the terrorists

If I would LITERALLY say that, you would have no issue in quoting the post which says exactly that, but you can't, you have to again reach and deny me my right, my freedom of speech, my freedom of expression to despise everything that magazine was printing.

Terrorists don't speak, they kill. Governments, politicians, media etc can use hate speech to oppress and incite violence.

And you could stop being off topic.

You implied it, people are not stupid :smh:

Claiming freedom of speech now when you were denying it to the cartoonists not a long time ago? :smh:

This magazine used drawings to fight against racism, are you against equality then?

So now you're telling me terrorists don't have a hate speech? wow lego, you impress me more every time

I am not off topic, i denounced your double standards and then you went off topic  :spin:

Are you trying to excuse the killer too?

It happened on his way to shop. In Dresden where the population of Muslims is very small. During or after anti-islam rallies, which some nazis joined too. Do you care more about your country's reputation or human life?

I'm not the one. No. I never defended terrorists, that was only your misinterpretation of my posts. I don't need to support the hate speech to prove them I'm against terrorism.

Problems with reading much?

I don't try to excuse anyone but I read an article where the police suggested not to make too fast judgements. Don't try to put things in mouth that I didn't say.

The article had false numbers. I don't need to care about my countries reputations because I know that the majority 75%+ is against those marches.

On Saturday, a home for refugees in Dresden was spray painted with swastikas and the message, “we will get you all.†Tuesday morning – after a 25,000 person anti-Islam march by the Pegida protest movement – an Eritrean refugee named Khaled Idris Bahray was found dead on the back doorstep of the same refugee home, covered in blood.

As this letter from his friends below proves, refugees reported finding him with multiple stab wounds and covered in blood. The statement also says that most refugees never leave their building on Monday nights as Nazis often wait outside, kicking against the door, threatening and insulting them after the anti-islam Pegida demos in the past few weeks.

But initially, police claimed to have found no signs of foul play, saying that a Dr. as well as the police on the scene saw no blood or knife wounds on Khaled’s body. They also denied having any knowledge of the vandalism that occurred 3 days earlier on Khaled’s home. This spurred a social media campaign and outcry from the Eritrean community in Germany, demanding an investigation into Khaled’s death. Teams to secure evidence arrived 30 hours after Khaled’s body was found.

Now, an official complaint is being filed against the Dresden police by Green party MP Volker Beck, who accused the police of incompetence and a cover up. State prosecutors will start an investigation into the manner in which the cops handled Khaled’s death, which could then bring the Dresden police department to trial.

This is of course not an isolated incident. On December 22, a few migrants were attacked by 500 neo-nazis who had just left a Pegida march. The cops were on the scene, but didn’t interfere. One 15 year old immigrant had to be taken to the hospital in Dresden as a result of his injuries. Police in Germany have a long history of covering up nazi crimes and not helping victims.

While neo-nazis have praised the murder online, attacked immigrants, and threatened activists and refugees (Dortmund nazis published death notices of antifascists, journalists and politicians) – antifascists and activists have taken to the streets for Khaled. In Leipzig there was a demonstration with 1500 people for Khaled – 200 masked antifascists clashed with police afterwards.

Khaled Idris Bahray was stabbed to death on the night to January 13th in Dresden. He was found dead the next morning in the courtyard of the housing estate in which he lived. Even though his body was covered with blood, the police initially denied homocide. However, the next day’s autopsy results proved what flatmates and friends had claimed from the very beginning: Khaled Idris Bahray was murdered. His flatmates and friends had already been worried about his absence during the evening but didn’t dare to leave the house to search for him due to the ongoing Pegida demonstration. During earlier Pegida demonstrations the door of their accommodation was kicked in, racist slogans were shouted several times. Because of these experiences flatmates and friends assumed from the very beginning a racist homicide.

We commemorate Khaled Idris Bahray and solidarise with his friends and flatmates. We are shocked, sad and angry about this murder! Even though we don’t know by whom he was murdered, the myriad and abhorrent racist comments, which accompanied his death, are reason enough to get into the streets, let alone the recurring camouflage tactics of the Dresden police. It is unbearable, that police officers as well as the media ignored the clear statements by friends of the victim who profoundly assumed racist motives. At the latest since the NSU exposed itself, it has become clear that German authorities deny racism as motive of a crime. This was demonstrated only a few weeks ago when – also in the aftermath of a Pegida demonstration – a group of teenagers was chased through a shopping centre in Dresden by an armed racist mob. Some of the teenagers have been severely harmed. In this case the police even refused to accept a charge against the attackers arguing that the teenagers had simply invented the chase.

These deeds are in line with a broad racist mobilisation: all over Germany racist unions arise. Assaults on refugee housing sites, private apartments and anti-racism initiatives increase alarmingly. People are abused daily for racist motives, threatened and harmed. On January 8th the newly opened refugee housing site in Berlin-Köpenick was attacked by throwing bottles accompanied by people shouting “We’ll burn all of you“. Due to such attacks people in Germany exposed to racism, report that they are frightened to be outside in the streets. These serious concerns are not realised by the German public, politics and the media. Instead they broach the putative “worries and fears“ of the Pegida demonstrators, of the numberless citizens’ groups speaking out against refugee homes or of “worried residents“. Politicians from CSU to Linkspartei plead that “worries and fears“ of “the citizens“ should be taken seriously instead of naming them as what they are: racist beliefs.

Therefore the racist mobilisations have to be seen against the backdrop of societal racism in Germany. Racism in Germany is based on the notion of “deutsche Volksgemeinschaft“ (term used by the Nazis to describe the community of a people), which is considered to be threatened by the migration to Germany of alleged “others“. For this reason Saxony set up special operations against “delinquent asylum seekers“ instead of acting against racist violence. Hence the responsible parties and the police intensify repressions against self-organised structures of refugees, for instance, the squatting of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule in Berlin or the hunger strike in Munich, instead of providing a humane and safe living for refugees in Germany. Due to the racist atmosphere in society as a whole, the racist mobilisations in the streets fall on fertile ground.

Knowing about this as well as remembering the progrom of the 90s and the NSU murders, we now look appalled at the murder of Khaled Idris Bahray. Let’s not be silent in our grief and anger, let’s go into the streets and protest together! Because racism kills again and again!

Oh hell. Stop spreading those false statements. Germany is by far not racist.

Just stop making Facebook your source. I never heard of Deutsche volksgemeinschaft. I have migration background, friends have and we still call ourselves as Germans, so do ethnic Germans.

A minority is Neo nazis. We don't even have a right party in our parliament.

You are not from that refugee home, you are not black, you are not Muslim - you don't know what those people have been through. Go talk to them in person instead of calling them liars and blindly defending your country as some perfect and safe haven for everyone.

Nationalism is a disease.

Did you even read what I wrote. Neo nazis who oppose this, not the average German. To say racism is dominant in the German society is just, sorry, but stupid.

I'm not black or Muslim but I have partly a Jewish family which only got assaulted by Muslims.

In all your recent posts about this argument, you never said a word of condolences for the people killed by terrorists.

Your first priority in all your posts is accusing the other of hate.

I never read a constructive and positive post of yours in all these discussions, you only put the finger to the others to defend the part that is the right according to your opinion.

How can you pretend that the other people be respectful or open mind about some things when you act exactly in the opposite way with people with different opinions?

And what does that have to do with the young man who got killed? FB page is a group made in his memory, which includes his friends' testimonies. You cannot relate because you are not from them and you clearly lack empathy. Other links are sources for that news. I don't care what percentage is, you clearly have a lot of neonazis who are ready to threaten, beat up, vandalize and kill, and that is what you should focus on to fix, not if article has correct number.

No we don't have a lot and yes we need to change that minority. So does need every other country in the world. That was one murder, not a sign of "having a lot Neo nazis". Actually we have around 9000 which is still too much, but out of 81 million people it's not a lot.

Actually I'm quite offended that you of all people say that Germany needs to change while you defend Muslim countries and the sharia law several times when you know that minorities suffer there way more.

Again diverting topic. "But what about Natives? What about Roma people?" tease. You clearly don't know how to discuss this and you easily get offended. Freedom of speech, right?

All violence is ugly and discrimination and hate of any sect or human being is ignorant. I think if we employ empathy across the board instead of jumping to labels, judgment, and violence in reaction to fear and ignorance, ugly events like this could be avoided. It's too easy to blame, but it takes time to understand. If people took to understand Islam or any group, sect, or minority, there would never be any need for violence. However, too many people lack the patience and forethought to exercise their mind beyond jumping to conclusions. What will it take?

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
