Didymus 34,380
After confirming that the prophet Muhammad would appear in the new issue, Charlie Hebdo has now revealed that he is also on the cover: Remarkable is what's written above: "All is forgiven" Before the attack this issue would have 60.000 first prints, after the attack an upgrade was necessary to 1.000.000, expecting to print 3.000.000 in total if the sales are as expected. The issue will also be in memory of the victims of the attack. It will appear in 16 languages and will, for the first time, be sold internationally. Discuss, but please don't let this derail into a mess

christinahoney 383
Great cover, but I'm sure the issue is filled with blasphemous, homophobic, s-xist cartoons under the guise of "satire". Getting dat #promo to milk* a larger audience.

Shorr 0
It´s funny that they made him to look similar to Bin Laden, so much shade going on that page.
SlaeUrAnus 16,111
I'd buy it. Dunno if the UK will print them though considering they did even print the images that caused a stir in the first place. In my messy era.

christinahoney 383
The satire is used to ridicule stupid thinking. There's nothing brainwashing about it. Replace "brainwash" with "milk" then. And that magazine is honestly quite offensive. I guarantee you most people who are jumping on the "Je Suis Charlie" band wagon can't even read it lol. It's like this commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVCh6Xp_VD8 But to each his own.

christinahoney 383
So what if it's offensive? It's not harming anyone. There was no "so what" to my post. If they want to be offensive, that's fine, those who don't like it can choose not to read it. :) I just find it funny the cover is quite great compared to their usual offensive material. I predict a lot of people are gonna buy this magazine and be like the people in the commercial I posted.

You know it's a left wing magazine, there favourite target was the National Front, Le Pen's father couldn't say a good word about them even after the attack. Ironically, they were very much pro-Palestinian too.
