I'm not sure about banning it, but I'm not gonna reject the idea that we should re-evaluate it. It depends from the quantiy, but some kind of alcohol in the right dose could be healthy like a small quantity of digestive liquor after meals ;) Or a glass of red wine, scientific studies proved that a glass of red wine is healthy ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_effects_of_wine It's the excess to be unealthy like all the thing in my opinion. Those studies are constantly being opposed by others though. There doesn't seem to be a consensus. For example: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2688161/Moderate-drinking-IS-bad-health-Just-two-glasses-wine-day-cause-problems.html Anyway, that of course unleashes the idea of health and since not drinking won't make you immortal or something I'm not sure if that's really a good argument for anything. But re-evaluating the places of these d--gs in our lives is always a good thing and, as an outsider, protests like this can be a good starting point to think about it imo. Ok, well, I think that like all the things it's more the abuse the problem, if we start to point out about all the unhealthy things, also the Coca Cola is dangerous and it's unhealthy, most of the food by big companies in supermarkets are trash, McDonald's as well, ecc, it will never end, I think that nowadays we have to be careful about everything from that point of view. I'm agree with your last part especially if we talk about general d--gs, but the problem of the video is the fact that those people in their bills-posters wrote in first: Islam is the best way of think. Yeah I didn't pay attention to the protest itself 'cause it seems to be a boring (yet kinda smart) way to use a widespread problem in the UK to promote a religion which coincidentally forbids alcohol. If we can take something more interesting out of it though they still did a good job And yeah omg I'm so not for all living a healthy life because that will only solve like a few of our problems and we'll die of something anyway :madge: Not to mention the financial crisis that would begin because of all the closed companies/stores etc. But on an individual level it can be nice. I found a few ideas in several religions that I thought "hey, that's interesting!" and applied them in some way. The reason for the prohibition of alcohol in Islam is quite interesting.
