I totally agree. Although in keeping with their severity. Several posters thought you were blaming the victim in your comments on the Charlie Hebdo massacre, and I do feel an over-emphasis on small Islamophobic incidents after a major terrorist attack can be motivated more by apologetics than genuine even-handedness. Jews get flak partly because of a foreign govt. and partly because of long-standing anti-semitism. Muslims get flak largely because of actions of Muslims within France. I already explained that I don't agree that mocking people's (any) religion or race is something good, it only breeds hatred. And I did not say that this is "just as bad", but the backlash shouldn't happen agsinst people who are not guilty of the crime. That's it. But the people whose mosque or car got burned are not terrorists, they did not attack Charlie - that is a stereotype and people like you love to spread islamophobia so more of these incidents would happen, with more severe consequences. Let's focus on that as a positive message about Muslims. But let the French and the Jews feel like the injured party for a couple days anyway, without beating the Islamophobia drum. You forgot that 2 muslims are also killed in attack, cop and another one in the building (darkwolf posted list of names). Their families too are injured party, they are all victims of terrorism.
