Seeing some Muslims take the opportunity to raise new initiatives made me quite emotional the other day, actually. Just like they do easily with LGBT's. But excommunication won't solve the terrorism problem though. It only takes one person to inflict terror (see the recent Australia incident, but my memory may fail me and it may have been a duo?), and in this scenario you'll have a pissed-off sect of excommunicated Muslims who would have no issue inflicting violence on Muslims and others (as they do already). And gay being a taboo =/= no gay people whatsoever. That will be the case too with terrorism. In that it will continue regardless. Simply putting a "taboo" label on it won't fix things completely.
