SweetEscape 654
Very diverse  If you look it that way:  That boy is a monster M-M-M-Monster That boy is a monster M-M-M-Monster That boy is a monster M-M-M-Monster That boy is a monster Er-er-er-er   For me ARTPOP is Gaga's best album, and my favorite album ever. But I'm not gonna argue about it. People have different opinions, and this thread is messy. Just wanted to do ARTPOP some justice.  Now bye
Dann 354
in my opinion, The Fame Monster is her best work, and it's more ARTPOP than ARTPOP BTW is more ARTPOP than ARTPOP tho

Tommy Monster 846
I agree that it´s better, but just because while TFM has only 8 superultramega perfect songs, ARTPOP has 13 of them  Plus, for me BTW is really overrated, it´s a mess and ARTPOP carries its message much better tbh BTW is more ARTPOP than ARTPOP tho  and ARTPOP is more BTW than BTW
XTC 0
ARTPOP is literally about having fun , partying and fuccking, except maybe Dope and ARTPOP... Whats the deep message youre getting? some people on here are completly stupid. ARTPOP does not have a fixed lets say story or subjects like TFM OR BTW she deals with many things on ARTPOP - still not every song has a deeper meaning behind it after all she just wanted us to party to this album and have fun now lets get to this one. Swine at first listen i thought - wow awesome clubbanger and a godly edm track after some listens you actually get the lyrics its her most personal song to date she never went that deep and never showed so much of her self then on this track - she even said it at the swinefest its about rape and d--g addiciton (chemical d--gs i.e. ecstasy) "maybe i should have a little more just to stay out of my mind the song is very aggresive at swinefest she was hitting them drums so hard the throwing up part at sxsw is clearly pointed again at the chemical d--g addicition and effects anybody who cried molly or what you wanna call it knows if you get overdosed you will most likely throw up same goes for the artrave performance - i might throw up i might be sick so people get over it ARTPOP does have some very meaningful songs and even the most meaningful in her carrer known as swine

MEANWHILE every song on TFM and BTW have a clear understandable underlying meaning/message. ARTPOP is about fun and thats not bad.

danwasd 2,444
I do think a lot of (immature) fans over-praise The Fame Monster because of its commercial success. Â I appreciate Nicki more now
lavenderblondee 3,695
You can't say "It hurts me for people to say ARTPOP is not that great" and then you go and say half the songs off TFM aren't good. Regardless, your opinion is relevant! No matter what, there will always be people who appreciate ARTPOP over TFM and that's okay. I just can't see it at all. Gaga was creatively at her best during TFM era, I feel. I look at her lyrics, the way she presented herself. It was not just her wardrobe, she had such a way about her. Her performances were edgy, dark, and I still watch them to this day. Right now, I think she's getting back to that point. I look at the lyrics of TFM and compare them to ARTPOP, and it speaks for itself. The production itself of her music, IMO, was at it's prime during TFM. I listen to the beats of TFM and am so captivated, and I listen to ARTPOP and I hear DJWS and his basic over produced beats. I think of the state of mind Gaga was in when she wrote AP and can't help but feel like the album was rushed and even SHE herself ended up not wanting to perform multiple songs off the album. ARTPOP reminds me of the bad stage of her life, not for her fans, but for HER. That itself was the biggest reason why I am not the biggest supporter of ARTPOP. Regardless, I love the album, but I feel like nothing can touch TFM. She was on top of the world, and the album really proved it.
swakby 4,100
I really don't like comparing so much but it's just that ARTPOP had been dragged too much and TFM praised too much.  it really hurts me how monsters say "it's not that good" or "her other albums are way better"  I love them both SO MUCH! but I think TFM is REALLY overrated it's a great album anyway and I think  it's better than a lot of pop albums, but it's praised a lot because of its massive success.  The Fame Monster is just not that deep. ARTPOP is really deep and has a great message and super-personal it's well produced and it's way more mature.  and think about it! The Fame Monster's songs are just not THAT great I mean "Teeth" "So Happy I Could Die" "Dance In The Dark" are just not that great compared to "Mary Jane Holland" "Sexxx Dreams" or "Gypsy"  in fact if I had to arrange my most fav Gaga albums it'd be like this:  Born This Way ARTPOP The Fame The Fame Monster  what do you think? and how would you arrange them? I agree with you completely. For God's sake, Dark Horse is going to win a grammy in Fabruary, which means grammys this years are ****/

Fame Romance 10,517
The Fame Monster is just a masterpiece, there's no waste in any of its 8 songs, it's the only album I listen to without skipping any song, like in BTW, from that album I only like the singles, Scheibe and Bloody Mary, and from ARTPOP Jewels N' Drugs and Swine are a torture.
WhoAskedOpinions 658
Mine would be: Â The Fame Monster Born This Way The Fame ARTPOP Â Â I love the Fame and I love ARTPOP, but there has to be a bottom... I loved almost every song on ARTPOP and The Fame, but BTW and TFM just were heaven on a disc. @WhoAskedOpinions - Rates, reviews, and rankings of music and TV shows
