ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Well, rap is a bit different from pop. Gaga writes good lyrics imo, but I really appreciate the references and sharp wit that rap can have and Nicki's got that, so I gotta give it to her :shrug; I usually dont even think of her as a lyricist, but her drags, reads, exposes, and braggadocio are pretty damn good Though a lot of rap these days is braggadocio laden, I think both of them write relatable lyrics (esp. with Nicki's progression on The Pinkprint) 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

monsterdreams 1,529
Nicki is great but her lyrics are explicit for explicit's sake While gaga's always mean something and are so emotional Haters gonna need more than a flashlight for my shade
xoxo cupcakke 4,781
I am just going to say they are both equally talented writers. They know they are great lyricists but they also know that they have to dumb down their lyrics and put on a guise in order to be successful in the music industry. Thus, they haven't reached their lyrical zenith yet despite the fact that they might want to They'll do it someday and Gaga is probably gonna do it sooner than Nicki now that Gaga has been maturing her inage more faster than Nicki

Ribs 160
They're both talented in writing, although usually amazing, they sometimes have questionable lyrics too. Gaga: Love is just a history that they may prove And when you're gone I'll tell them my religion's you When Pontius comes to kill the king upon his throne I'm ready for their stones. I am wind and hurricane The stormy sky and rain When you run dry I'll flood your pain I can't believe how you looked at me With your Johnnie Walker eyes He's gonna get you and after he's through There's gonna be no love left to rye Ra ra ah ah, roma roma ma, Gaga ooh lala I want lots of friends that invite me to their parties One second I'm a Koons then suddenly the Koons is me Nicki: I fly with the stars in the skies I am no longer trying to survive I believe that life is a prize But to live doesn't mean you're aliveCouldn't believe that I was home alone, contemplating Overdosin', no more coastin', no more toastin' over oceans They say you don't know what you got 'til it's gone They say that your darkest hour come before your dawn But there was something that I should've asked all along I'mma ask on a song Welcome to the crying game, where you lose your soul Where it ain't no easy pass, you got to use the toll Ain't no cruise control, you 'bout to lose control Ain't no smilin' faces here, we slammin' doors and dishes Sayin' we don't miss each other, but it's all fictitious He luhhh this fat ass ahhhaahahah *cackles* You a stupid hoe! He got that super bass Boom, badoom, boom Boom, badoom, boom bass Yeah that's that super bass
