The strictest scholars say watching football is a waste of time and can lead to fanaticism, like worshipping those players and person can become violent, hooligan etc. There is no punishment in Shariah for watching the game. This is the reason many scholars say that IS would be out of fold of islam, because they make halal things - haraam and opposite, they invent rules and punishments. The advice they give to those under them is to rebel and kill all IS leaders because there is no other way. This group is from the Khawaarij sect and they are described as "dogs of hellfire" in a prophetic hadith and they are to be killed. After doing some research, I think the rules they broke were that they were watching men with their 'awrahs uncovered (area of skin between the knee and the navel), and that football is involved with betting (haram) and is regularly funded by "haram corporations", like banks who have interest things (interest is haram), and alcoholic drink companies (alcohol is haram). They kill whoever tries to leave the group, they kill sunnis, they kill shiites, everyone who disagrees with them. Yeah, they just invented it, there is no any evidence to support this. They aren't even following the law that they're trying to spread Exactly. Because none of them really studied or have scholars with them. But, why is it no Arab leaders or Muslim Leaders are not saying anything against ISIS, and not doing anything themselves. Never here of Arabs / Muslims leaders doing anything but being afraid . ISIS - these cold blooded animals came from their society of islam/muslims. The muslim people need to fight back. Have some pride for gods sake. Go down fighting or go down being cowards.
