Wikipedia is not clear enough.There is a difference of opinion whether khawarij are muslims or out of islam.Salafis are different than Khawaarij. The khawaarij is a sect, and takfiris is just another name for them, because they takfir/excommunicate other muslims - pronounce them as "kaafirs" - out of the fold of Islam, making "their blood - halal".The same extremists you can find among 12er shi'a muslims. The problem, as I see it, is that U.S. Politicians keep trying to place western idioligies and political systems in the region . Failing completely.
