Do they even have access to personal DVD players? This seems like a bit of a waste but the intentions are pretty good... even if it will just backfire. North Korean residents dont have access to running water and food, one with a rational sense of mind and a reasonable thought process could conclude that they have much less access to a DVD player or even a television. But if you live in.Pyongyang, you can have most things. This is supermarket in Pyongyang. Then again only the elite that can live in there. You can clearly tell by her dress, it is luxurious dress. Many North Koreans have a DVD player, TV and a radio. They just can't access the outside world with it. Some cities don't have much food, some do. A lot of foreign DVDs are watched in North Korea, Skyfall was in fact quite popular there. They smuggle them from China over the border. There's even TV programmes with as demographic North Koreans, which are made in China or South Korea. This is a very smart idea tbh. Hopefully the balloons will get to Pyongyang. People who think that people will get killed immediately after watching this film are wrong, North Korea is unable to keep track of all of its citizens 24/7. Sebastien 16 Posted January 3, 2015 Share Posted January 3, 2015 With this being such a sensitive issue for Kim, anyone caught with a copy could very likely be taken to the camps or jailed/killed, etc. They really don't mess around over there, they don't value human life, and they dominate with fear.
