I'm not saying that people in the US shouldn't own guns cause y'all guys are past the point where you can create a peaceful society that's not armed like it's a war zone out there. But do you think a little control would hurt? You're posting facts about UK vs. US from a list that I'm sure was completed by someone who's very pro-guns, so here another one:

Firearm-related death rate per 100,000 population per year

United Kingdom 0.25

United States 10.30

You're on this list right next to the third world countries, all the developed countries are way below 2(most 1). Why not demand the government to take serious action against crime, so there wouldn't be a need for 2.5 million people to use guns to protect themselves. It's their job and they're failing you and instead of taking  responsibility for this, they're simply telling you to arm yourselves. Can't you see the problem here?

Now again - I'm not saying that disarming the US would work. But I do think the mentality about guns should change. There should be very strict control for owning a gun. Do you think this is a bad idea. Cause you can post any statistics from the first half of 20th century, but facts are we're living in the 21st century now and things like small children shooting their siblings or parents are happening only to you and the school shootings in the US since 2010 have been over 100. 100! Do you know how many happened in the EU - 2. And since you're comparing numbers with the UK - they haven't had a single school shooting for the last 20 years. Tbh if I was a parent in the US I would be more worried about sending my kids to school than somebody robbing me, but that's just me. My point is there is a problem with guns in your country and I'm sure you're acknowledging it too and something must be done.

Im an anarchist so im against any control from the government specially when you give the complete control to the government over the people. Canada has more guns than the United States and firearm related death rate per 100,000 population per year is 2.22 and my country saudi arabia where gun is so free and public is 0.8

By the way I dont own a gun and never did but im against gun control and if this becomes an international law you can imagine how bad governments can use this against civilians or during an uprising even in the united states. Just look at how hitler used gun control on his people.

Let's just agree to disagree. lol I get your point, but we're talking about a whole nother thing here. :laughga: I'm all for a perfect society where governments are not needed to regulate things and create laws and people live happy and free everywhere, but  we're very very far from this.

What I'm talking about is the fact that the US obviously have a problem with guns and something must be done.

We are very far from a anarchy society and im not expecting it to happen now but increasing government control is not something im with..yes something must be done but its not with gun control. There is many other reasons why the united states have a high gun shooting problem witch we are not going to talk about because this conversation wont end. I see where your coming from and im glad you see where im coming from but we both disagree thats fine :)

There were 17 million applications from civilians to buy guns in 2012. Of course not all of them are approved. But you get the picture. Now I don't know the average price for a gun, maybe you could tell me, since you're an expert. From what I found on google quality guns start from $400-$600, but there are cheap ones around $150-$200. If you think there are no economic interests involved in selling guns to civilians you are fooling yourself.

You're pretending it's some evil corporation or the NRA magically making money and brainwashing people like some kind of conspiracy  :spin: sorry but most Americans support gun rights NRA or not.

And you're pretending that it's so unbelievable for gun factories to seek profit. :flop: Nobody's talking about conspiracies here, I'm just stating facts. I already said everything I wanted to say. In the last 5 years there have been over 100 school shootings and the US have the same firearm-related death rate as Mexico. But you can continue feeling "safe" and "protected" if that's what this is. :toofloppy:

I hate threads like these cause everyone attacks America and have their noses in the air acting like Europe or wherever they are is just absolutely perfect.

This is sad, I don't know why everyone is saying "why did she bring it to a supermarket?"

She most likely brought it with her everywhere so she felt safe. I'm also wondering if the safety was on or not, she should have always made sure the safety was on.

So what? Does any factory not seek profits? Not sure what your point is.

Mexico's murder rate is almost 5x higher than the US despite guns being mostly banned for civilians so don't try it.

Honestly, the scariest thing for me is the fact that I live so close to Hayden :ohno:

How is this scary?

Europe is indeed perfect!

We're civilized people, don't leave healthcare en education to the rich but to everyone, u can be and marry anyone u love..

That's just besides the fact that nobody goes grocery shopping with a fu/cking gun in their purse.

You are really contradicting yourself here. First you accuse me of making conspiracy theories about gun factories scaring people to make more profits and deny it and after that you're telling me that they are, but this time as an argument against me... :flop: So you're either trying to twist our conversation in to something that it wasn't or you really don't get it. I recommend you go and re-read everything from the start.

Mexico is a 3rd world country and it's considered by y'all to be a heaven for criminals/d--gs ect. and it has the same firearm-related death rate as the US. I don't have to "try it", that's a fact. I don't run around shooting people to make this statistic it's just how it is. Sorry if it hurts your pro-gun arguments, but again - not my fault. And I love how you ignored what I said about the over 100 school shootings that took place in the last 5 years. Should we arm little children with guns to protect themselves... to go to school? Or maybe you'll admit that there is in fact a problem with the guns?
