texas has a diversified economy, agriculture, manufacturing and energy.. Lower oil will spread the wealth more evenly across the spectrum where as hi oil benefited energy and its supporting factions .... North Dakota is booming from the 'construction' of the oil wells .. Once that slows down , so will that region.... The oil itself doesn't really benefit anyone besides the oil companies ... Lower demand will reduced interest in new construction projects however thereby slowing that segment.

Canadas oil sands boom started earlier than the US Shale. Weve had this boom since like 2002 or 2003

But has there been a boom outside of Alberta or Saskatchwean because of the oil???? Nope!

The wealth got concentrated in that one part of Canada and the rest of the Country didnt get squat

Lower oil prices will help other sectors that will grow more evenly Nation Wide so even if over-all GDP growth slows a little, at least it will be more even throughout Canada. Same goes for US States :shrug:

then we agree in principle, but the U.S. is too big to get everyone. There is always someone left out.
