MahoganySnitch 67
This is going to end well... I purposely didn't make a thread for the support AB received as it's a problem BIGGER than what most people here can begin to comprehend and goes far beyond AB v IA but if we're really going to drag this on and on then let's get some more threads going. I totally agree! It's beyond "dragging ha". And are you referring to J.Cole's piece?
Hexxx 2,244
Not y'all coming out here commending him but when azealia was quick to call her out y'all cheered her on too.. too late. You're in the crossfire. You should have never used that gif. Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
DrewStevens 5,249
This situation is a capital M E S S. I can't argue about this because it is his opinion and sadly I don't have a degree in social justice like some people in here. I didn't have a chance to attend to the University of Tumblr. Chromatislaps 34,851
Don't even bother, reasoning is hard. It's much easier to just scream "pressed" and go on and on about Iggy's chart success This. I don't get why it's so hard for people to realize the point Azealia was trying to make goes far beyond stan wars and especially since Azealia is a female, he doesn't get how much slack and hate she gets. Males are much less judged in popmusic (exceptions are MJ and Bieber :toofloppy: of course)
HANZ 4,380
nah I'm not going to get into this one but I'm posting this gif which represents the dragging that is not going to happen because I have mercy My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48
Voltaic 25
'Our culture'... Will.i.am is not part of hip hop. He is black though so if that's what he means then cool I guess. I don't really think he's educated or versed enough in the issue to comment. He's probably just supporting her because she's successful. This post gave me cancer phase 4. bigpinkenergy 1,015
No, this is a bigger issue. I'm not even going to go into it on here because I know I'll be ripped apart for it because I'm white and 'not aloud to speak on the issue'. Just know that it's wider than just what you're all seeing. Exactly. He seems to be forgetting the 'runaway slave master' lyric and just the fact that she has muddied the water of hip hop. Now you have every teen white girl thinking they are experts in the history of hip hop because they own The New Classic (a pop record). Absolutely ridiculous. And don't forget when Iggy played spokesperson of black culture when she declared that Miley stole twerking from her after Iggy herself declared the 'trend' was over I can't

Morphine Prince 106,064
He's right about how it's global now and how it shouldn't matter. But Azealia raises great points and if you can't see that then..... let me not. will.i.am is a sell out anyway, so I don't have much respect for him. I'll leave it at that. Go listen to the black eyed peas first two albums and his first two solo albums. He's hip hop. He's also pop and dance. I don't think you're really educated on the topic clearly as you must know nothing about Wil. He's hip hop and he has evolved and changed (not for the better )

Navy 495
People like you make me sick, quite frankly. I'll make this situation a little easier to understand for my fellow GGD users (a lot of whom seem very sheltered and detached from this issue). Imagine (and for some of you this may be reality) that you are bullied, or are depressed, or just have really negative **** going on outside of your time spent on GGD. You have a bad time at home with family, you are bullied at school/work, you have a lot of stress going on, money troubles, and you can't use social media. Your only escape is this website. Imagine then, that your bullies, parents, etc, find your GGD account. They either force you to stop visiting or they join themselves - the latter is more relevant. Those that have looked down on you all their lives (in your eyes) are suddenly invading the final place you had to express yourself, and be yourself, around like minded people. Imagine how trapped you'd feel. How hopeless you'd feel. And this is going on while Gaga fans are being murdered by Katy fans outside of this. You have no where to express yourself. All your traditions are ruined and gone. That's how black people are feeling right now. :awkney:
