In a GP world it's like: pretty face and body = more credible as artist. That they are autotuned to hell and have a marketing budget the size of Obamas campagne they do not wonder about. But I agree, if you want to be an artist you better work that stage, write that hit song, bust your ass dancing or sing your heart out.
