Of course I didn't expect her to start the ARTPOP era on a wheelchair. It's just amazing to me that you people really think she was actually ready to start the ARTPOP era before the injury and that the hip injury is what impeded the release of the album. Don't forget that we had already been waiting quite a while before the injury happened, and there had been a great deal of hype surrounding the album already. Yeah, she needed six months to recover. And what did she do throughout those sixth months? She worked on the album. Why? Because it wasn't ready. Come August, when she released Applause, what was she doing? She was still working on the album. It was all an overhyped mess, with or without the hip injury.

Thats because Gaga just doesn't know when to stop and she adds and adds until its too much, that was the problem with ARTPOP way too much hype and way too much time spent on the album. I understand she's a perfectionist and loves her work but sometimes the best thing is quality over quantity. I'd give a leg to hear the pre-hip injury version of ARTPOP.

I honestly don't want to be hyped because she says the same thing about every album and the last two eras have been messes. Even though BTW album wise was flawless, the management over singles was a mess, and it carried over to ARTPOP and multiplied. Plus she was so stressed on making "TFM 2.0" and ended up making a pretty mediocre album sans the couple AMAZING tracks.

Idc what the next genre is, I just hope the best songs off the album are singles and she actually does a full fleshed out era.

I want Gagas new pop album to be well promoted, as C2C or even better. I'm not here for seeing my fav flop  :flop:

Since when was the last album a problem for you

And why it sounded like the last album was even a "problem" for me?

Why wouldn't she say that every time she makes a new record it feels like a rebirth? Thats the life of an artist. I mean I get what you're saying, but when you really think about it its kind of an invalid criticism. Everytime an artist releases a new album they think its their best or their most this or that because its their baby and its what they're coming out with now as a musical statement of where they're at in that moment. In that sense, every new album is a rebirth of sorts not just for her but for any artist.

If im going to nitpick over anything since im on this forum, ill just comment on the fact that shes operating on her old self as a cadaver. Meaning shes like a--lyzing what she made in the past and making something new like it or with it or whatever when my general hope for the new album was that she just move forward and create something more organically and ditch the hyper self-a--lysis because in my opinion that over-a--lysis of her past self is the portion of ARTPOPs concept that ultimately handicapped it. She was just so pre-occupied with how she was perceived, how she was being perceived, how that affected her, etc. It ultimately ended up being a little too self-conscious to me because she emphasized and talked about the fact that she peaked and she trailed off. But anyway, I dont think this statement means shes going to backtrack but its something I thought about.

I will be surprised if gaga releases an album without saying a word about it, nor anybody around her.

I'm a real Fire CRRRACKERRR

This first indication is interesting, and I wonder where she can and will go with a next album. She already did the extremes: very dark and very colorful. I imagine a mix of both and I hope that she will make some rock songs.

Well,I hate the way she hypes me all the time, wish i could deal with it but i can not, I still feel so excited.

I hate it. Even when I'm not expecting anything from her anymore. Can't she just let us judge the work before her talking about how are we gonna love it and more things like that?

But ultimately you're the one that decides how excited you'll get. Gaga is not the one that sets our exptectation.

"Album of the decade"? What the **** does it even mean, really? My exptectation didn't skyrocket solely because of such a vague comment. I get legitimately excited by actual information. Like when she described that Partynauseous was based on the Jakarta incident, or the topic of Americano. I was not disappointed by those things. When I finally heard the songs.

As for me, I just know to expect the unexpected. She gets inspired by so many things that it's impossible to predict what she's gonna do next. Plus, it's mch more exciting upon release. :)

Also, this quote explicitely evades any tipe of pre conception. "I want the fans to be surprised" doesn't say anything. Perhaps it could mean that she's gonna do something she hasn't done before. It could even be for the worst (think about your most despised music genre, lol). So don't hold this quote against her if it turns out to be completely different to what you may have wanted.

Considering the type of artist that is Gaga, she wouldn't simply leave the "finished" album for six months to prepare the promo plan or anything else. She continues to work on the album until the label snatches it from her hands for logistic reasons like manufacturing.

I don't think the fact that she continued to work on it indicates that she wasn't ready for an early 2013 release.
