I want you to know I'm not against anything or oppossed to anything. I'm open-minded and supportive, but I have some honest questions. You say a child needs to get blockers, but it's chemicals. You put unnecessary chemicals into child's body in order to prevent child's natural development. It is a scary and very important step. I'd be afraid to do this to my child. It's like going against the nature. Aren't those chemicals hamful? What happens to a girl who gets testosterone shots? Is it scientifically approved? You can't just play with your or your child's body like this. It's a big deal. What happens if a child gets blockers for lets say two years and decides not to change the gender? He/she starts to develop naturally as he/she was meant to? But he/she will be two years late already. And what if he/she decides to change the s-x? His/her body was meant to develop in a certain way. but it's forced to develop in different way. isn't it harmful in any way?

Blockers would be prescribed by a doctor with the levels controlled for safety of the child. The blockers would only be given once the child is diagnosed, thus confirming it not to be a phase and eliminating most of the probability of regret.

Blockers aren't harmful to the body. They just stunt development. Testosterone shots are potent and the levels would need to be very low for a transboy that age.

I made the decision earlier this year to self medicate hormones and although that was stopped it is still in my plans for the future, so...

I don't think anyone would give a child blockers or hormones without doing vigorous testing to make sure this is an absolute decision. Yes, there is a factor of regret if the child does change their mind, but there's regret if they don't either. Sometimes you just have to take a chance if the evidence points to that it isn't just a phase.

And I don't know what going off of puberty blockers would cause the body to do in the long run. They aren't meant to be taken that long, I don't think. If I were to guess, since administering hormones makes the body go through a second puberty when they are taken, then going off of puberty blockers would make the body go through puberty whenever they aren't being taken.

It couldn't legally be done if it wasn't scientifically approved. All it does basically is delay puberty. You can stop at any time and puberty will naturally occur. It's not harmful, and for trans kids who know who they are that early, it's way healthier than being forced to grow up in a body that isn't theirs.

Whether the child is transgender or not, I really hope that the name Shiloh stays. It's honestly so beautiful, for a boy or a girl.

Who cares what you think. 9 times out if 10 transgender people don't want anything to do with their birth name. So ****ing stop calling him his birth ****ing name.

It's wonderful that Brad and Angie are so supportive. That's what all parents should be like.
