ew that nicki needs to die forever

Like it or not, it's the most successful Nicki.

why ask for success if you can have quality instead tho

Those are quality pop songs.

Why is he angry though?

He didn;t got paid or what?

Actually that very album (roman reloaded) ruined her image as sell out tho.

She is a rapper, not a pop singer, end of.

No, she's a rapper and a pop singer. Otherwise those songs wouldn't exist.

but honestly fake account or not some of you need a check of reality and try to put yourself in the label's feet

they invested A LOT of money, maybe millions in this project and it flopped, yes it flopped she performed Anaconda at the VMA's and EMA's where she was also the host that night

the label LOST their money in this mess, I would also come for nicki's ass if I was the label tbh, it was MY money the one in the trash can now

ps: I kinda feel some of the executives of interscope said almost the same things about ARTPOP

Quality doesn't give coins for food to eat unlike success

But most of the money record labels make is from touring, not album sales, so everyone in this thread can have a seat.

but nicki is not a touring force :emma:

The main reason the album is doing so badly is because of the poor single choices

And i thought the label picked the singles not Nicki? So why are they blaming her and not themselves?

I don't know if he's real, he looks like a producer to me but I don't know

Everyone in this thread is a mess. Some of you are saying he is credible and has provided links yet you have not. And I really doubt any of these labels would have someone that works for them just tweeting garbage. He said he's a producer in charge of firing? What sense does that make?

Also everyone here is calling TPP when we have ZERO reports on how sales are looking or official numbers. Ya'll need to chill.

He is not even a producer on the damn album like he claimed to be.

If he was legit the media would have been talking about this everywhere.

idk if some of you are extremely gullible or plain stupid.

Fake account or not, what he said was so true. Putting out an album just before Christmas has proved to not be a guaranteed hit recently (I mean, check out what happened with JB's Journals album released 2 days before Christmas). The time of release is meaningless, it's all about how big your fanbase is and the amount of promo involved. Nicki has been a viral star so far this era, not an actual music seller. For all its views and notoriety, Anaconda has not actually sold well. Its worldwide chart positions were terrible, it only went to #3 in the UK because it was on a 2 month preorder with a clean version charting and had Billboard not started including Vevo views towards charts, it wouldn't have gone to #2 in the US either (I believe reports said that about 90% of the song's "points" on its #2 opening week came from Vevo views, not sales). The flopping of the other singles in addition to very limited promo set her up for failure. Her fanbase isn't as devoted as most rappers fanbases are because she's more pop than rap. Her calling her album The Pinkprint like she's going to get sales like Jay Z's and be the female version of him only makes her look even worse. Nicki should never have gone pop - Roman Reloaded messed up her chances of becoming a much bigger rapper by alienating her rap fans and she never really won them back, not even a proper hip hop re-release could save her by that point. Her label must be in crisis talks right now and I'm sure a re-release will definitely happen with much more promo and genericism involved. I expect it'll be called something like The Pinkprint: Reprint. It's a shame, because she actually made a decent album for once, but it was at this time that she discovered how many real fans, not bandwagoners, that she actually has. She's got to sell out 9 large arenas in the UK with this album too. May I add that the EMAs held in Glasgow was the only piece of UK promo that she's done this entire era. I predict heavy cordoning-off of tiers and flat-out cancellations at this rate.
