lego 44,165 Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 There would not be this amount of refugees from Middle East coming to West, if their own countries weren't torn by years or decades of wars and destruction, which again started by or involves Western armed forces. Both Saddam and Ghaddafi were dictators and bad for some groups, but in the times of peace both Iraq and Libya were safe and Westerners and other Europeans went there to work! Lebanon and Syria were beautiful in the times of peace and Westerners went there as tourists in huge numbers. In those times, MiddleEasterners didn't have reason to leave their countries and many wouldn't because they love their culture. I know even many Middle Eastern Christians who say that they have more in common wih Middle Eastern Muslims than with Western Christians. Cultures are totally different. If these protests were agains Jews you would cry about antisemitism, but now you're trying to justify it when it's against people you don't like. Hypocrite. Yes both Christians and Jews do horrible crimes too but their religion is never mentioned in the media. And those "militarized battles" are the reason these terrorist groups are created. And those "battles" create more victims on their side than opposite. And there were hate crimes against Muslims in Europe by all kinds of "defence league" supporters. Saudi woman stabbed in UK in daylight, older muslim man stabbed to death going out of mosque, polish man arrested in UK for planting bombs in mosques etc. And just look in your own country, past and present, Jews very much like to bomb and blow and burn homes and mosques up. And just recently Christian evangelist terrorist was arrested for planning to attack Al-Aqsa. So stop with that bull**** how it's only muslims and you never hear about anyone else. It's not similar because it doesn't involve some sort of combustion? Please. But if you want examples with more parallels, just look at abortion clinic bombings/the murder of abortion providers. Or maybe even Anders Behring Breivik, who bombed government buildings in Oslo, Norway and shot up a youth camp, killing 66 people, and who described himself as "100% Christian" and a "modern-day crusader". At least not in the same form of the violence Islamists are responsible for. Never heard of a Jew or a Christian bombing themselves in crowded malls, buses or subway stations, neither burning an embassy or a mosque. I'm not sure how frequency of jihadist attacks =/= hate crimes against Muslims. Hell, I'd argue that it's because of jihadist attacks that keep hyper-awareness of Muslims alive long enough for one person, 1, to say or do something against Muslims who had nothing to do with it. It only takes one person. I'll say that again, it only takes one person to be the douche douchy enough to punch a Sikh taxi driver just because he "looks like" a Muslim.
