Children?
They're like little devils, because they're so damn endearing and at the same time abominable. They're like affectionate dragons. I'd obviously like to have children one day, whom I can tell the stories I've lived. I'm seriously considering adopting a child. We shouldn't bring more children into the world. There are already enough, who are in need of our help, why make babies then? But in Finland adoption is like running the gauntlet. You have to fight through a jungle of papers and run from one place to the other. The intentions are good, but they've made it really hard to help. There's currently a discussion in Finland concerning a law that doesn't allow people over 50 to adopt children, because they're too old. I ask myself, who comes up with this stuff? There are older children and the average age is constantly rising. However, when you're 45, you can still adopt children. Maybe we shouldn't lose sight of what's important: there are children who need our help. And if there are people, who have done contributed to society and integrate the children into society, then the age of that person should be completely irrelevant.

Groupies?
There was a girl, it's been over ten years, though (((Btw, he's talking about when it happened, not her age... had to clarify lol))). We had a thing, but I never slept with her. I met her backstage. We played chess, talked about Black Sabbath and I drank beer. Groupies have always been off the cards, though. I am engaged and I'm not too fond of the idea of starting something with someone whose only interested in me, because I perform on stage once a week. The interesting thing about sex is having it with someone who means more to you than just a piece of meat.

Popstars?
They might be doing their job, because they know how to dance and sing, but they're not real. They're taught everything, even what they're supposed to say or how they must behave. They're an artificial product to sell records. That's like prostitution, in my opinion, especially if you consider that most of them are still very young. Day after day, performance after performance, and no one dares to say anything, out of fear of being fired, because they're all replaceable.

Interesting. :green:

I think this was between 2005-2006

Wow. This is a good one and eye opening. Thank You for getting it and having it translated. I wholly agree about adoption and children.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Second part from Mobster :

the last page you posted is a lot of paraphrasing, I'll try to just express the idea

Colors?

He talks about the meaning of colors. Yellow is the color of jealousy and lila is the color of the pope. Though lila is also the color of deception. And he thinks both connotations work pretty well together.

(Apparently, he's not a fan of the pope, either :green: )

Then he talks about grief. He says grief is always lurking around you. He compares it to a deep blue ocean, that will drown you, when you're tired and can't fight back anymore.

Girls?

They just get more and more beautiful every year. And that can be problematic. Our drummer is completely fascinated by them. Especially the very young ones. We're tryng to protect him. He really needs professional help so it doesn't become unruly. His behavior is borderline unhealthy.

(((That paragraph is extremely creepy :rip: )))

Love?

Love is overrated. Love is like blood: it's warm, but it's also sensitive and delicate.

Idols?

He basically trashes idols for just being actors or popstars that don't deserve to get pinned on your wall. His idols are his parents.

USA?

It's unfathomable what's happening in New Orleans. I can't believe something like this could happen in a civilized country. a world power. There are bodies floating on the water and no one cares.

((I guess he's referring to Hurricane Katrina))

I just love how he thinks and sees things. What a beautiful person inside and out.

It is the night of the witch tonight and the vengeance is hers for as long as she stands by Him ♡

“That’s why I’m not on FB”. Musician swears on benefits of exercise and does not want to hang out in social media.

HIM frontman Ville Valo is walking and cycling nowadays whenever possible. The album length and the miles cycling from home to the studio on daily basis comes to about twelve.

“It’s not at all much”, he shrugs.

On overall well-being in making music, he swears on benefit of exercise. “I have never understood the methodology that you step out of the cars and think the interior of the gym will force you do something repetitions. The same thing at home when you carry trash bags to the yard. Depends, of course, if the bags are heavy”, he smiles.

Not hanging out on social media sites, but rather seeing his friends face to face. “I do not have Facebook and I do not have Twitter. I do not need to update publicly what I ate for lunch”. He believes that those who are really interested in his doings, hear things directly from the man himself.

-Satisfied with what’s on the plate-

Positioned among Finland’s internationally most successful bands HIM will release eight studio album, Tears On Tape in April. Valo is very happy with the new piece.
“I believe that the outcome will be successful. You eventually turns yourself immune to your own bullshit after you hear the finished product dozens and dozens of times. The audience will decide how to take the album”, he smiles.

HIM album release tour starts in April. Germany and England will be followed by a North America and Europe in the summer.
“At some point, we should start to practice for the upcoming gigs, new album promo; this job will be strict in the following weeks”, Ville sighs.

Valo’s own favorite songs from the upcoming album will be released as singles; Into The Night in Finland and in the German market, the album’s title track Tears On Tape.

”They are both with fun atmosphere and they work very well in the Finnish summer night campfire tents midst of the bottle in circle moves forward”, he thinks.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
