Interviewer: How important the help of Tiina and Seppo was?

Tiina is the reason that keeps on ground, helps not to let us become overtly arrogant. Everyone has became a friend from producers and managers. Seppo is important with contract stuff, not to write your name on everything. And even from the beginning, we had a lot of luck with managers and contracts, not to sign every contract, they have read through it  from the perspective of an artist. Asko Kallonen used to keep eye on us when we were young, also to make more music and concentrate to play. It’s important to have a manager, look at Rolling Stones after Mick Jagger took control of all (laughs)

Was it a known decision that the band profiles in you?

Well, the guys were doin day-time jobs and I was the one who met everyone. I did all the stuff and then it just end up doing like that. It’s difficult to drag five guys there. It’s a smaller cost to one person to come there. And also, they may not ask others anything, just me. But I can do the promo, it’s better so and everyone has their one share of responsibility.

(talk about looks, mentioned before in my earlier posts)

Interviewer: do you look at old pics from tour and see, oh god how tired I looked?

Not like that, I laugh to good and bad memories about pics and also memories. I think they are part of the cycle of musician years. Also I have some sort of ”midlife crises”. Should I be something else.  It’s just normal doubt of self. It’s getting old and all. It used to be us five like a gang but now it’s just five of us, as some of us have families. It cannot be all music and it somehow bothers me. It’s only me that is bothered about it but that’s what life is. Well, it makes me sometimes miss the old good times. We have all good things though now too, not to say that. I also want to say that I think the band would have broken up and our minds and bodies would have broken up with a fast huge success all over the world. We got the need to show our skills with each album, and it was good thing. We would have been otherwise unbearable.

The success, it was the 00’s in abroads, all glitter, red carpets and ferraris. It all went so fast forward and without understanding the promised language of ****, haha. We did not understand anything. When in germany and europe did not happen anything, then happened something in UK. We were playing in London when there were Black Sabbath playing. It was huge to us.

Do you have  musical dreams or something concrete goals to achieve?

I’d only like get the happiness of success on personal level, like I made it! That would be good. It’s not only about success. Pieces in life go to right places, it’s only 15 minutes but it’s so great. You can make goals like performing on a moon or having 1 one song all over the world and… The goals never end. They never end, no matter how good the goal is in itself. You’ve never done the best song for example.

Interviewer: Any goal when you have the album out?

If thinking logically, it will be autumn next year. You must take time to all that stuff with record company, about half an year time to reserve for it all. It takes about 2 months to make an album, and 2 months to train the songs. And Helldone, no matter how much we have holiday it’s something we always do. Guys please call me, the phonenumber is still the same (laughs)

I got a feeling that he now really is thinking about life and soul-searching, as Sister very well said. He is now making maybe a different album on some level, like the mention about eating pizza every day :D At least he has all the time writing on his mind, so he is not quitting music and we are getting album eventually. (Think, we even may have it next autumn, when the process is done!) He revealed a lot about his writing. I see he is really sensitive, and a little pause may make good for his creativity, so he can get inspiration.

Funny that he was scared of Iron Maiden's Eddie when he was 5 :air: And that guitar thing too.

Aww I wish You well and Thank You so much for doing this in your time. I surely do appreciate this.:hug::wub:

This interview is so great:air:. He has really said a lot. I wonder if he did it to promote Knowing Me Knowing You but also to directly let the fans know in a gentle way, of just how long we are going to actually have to wait on a new album. He explains himself so well, so wise.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Thank you, you are very welcome, it was nice to do after all. Though he said so much, and it was a bit challenging to write all that in a clear form. If you are uncertain about some part please ask :hor:

I've never cursed here, nice to see that they cut them off automatically.

The interviewer asked in the end of interview about the album, it's sweet of him to actually answer to the question how long we have to wait... Unlike certain other fave of mine... :green:

Yes. I am so excited to see what will be on his mind on this new album:excited2:. He really does seem so sensitive and introspective. I Love it.

lol Yes, at least he answered and even went far to explain it.

Your write ups are very well, just great! I don't really curse much, so I can't be sure, but I have noticed that if you write out **** [sex films], it's always censored. lol and that isn't even a curse:air::hor:

Thanks a lot @PennyroyalTea Finnish is not easy language to translate plus the "stadin slangi"  so I appreciate you taking time to write down all of this.

His mind is really amazing.

It was funny when he said "friends call me! my phone is still the same 358..." I forgot that it's Finland country code, I was like did he just say half of his number on air?! :air:

That would be fun. :green:

Ok, now it makes more sense now :toofunny: From what I understood, Antto started a club and there is with him Ville, Huoratron (Aku Raski) and Ville's little brother Jesse. It's Finland's first "modulation synthesizer club" (if that makes any sense lol), he was there in the opening. His instagram actually made it more clear to me thanks for providing me that!

I understood that they have been jamming there a bit but have not been able to be in touch much, since he has a lot going on and Antto not answering his phone :toofunny:. I don't think anymore it's music related (that much, but who knows in the future though)

This may seem excessive, but we have a long time to just sit here and converse and wait for new music, so.

But, I had a thought that that dedication back then could have been about Amy Winehouse. He seemed infatuated by her and I guess that he would have already had known Kat Von D through BAM and his gang of sorts, so Kat wouldn't be a new player. Amy Winehouse was very popular right then, new and on everyone's lips.

This comment describes it from the concert:

myrskya on March 19th, 2010 08:24 pm (UTC)

"This one's dedicated to uhm... We played another festival a week ago here in Switzerland and uhm... We had a blast and I happened to come across the prettiest lady I've seen in years and that left me speechless, I don't know... She's probably not here tonight but uhm... She probably, she's gotta know she's the prettiest thing that walks the Earth. And I've been thinking about her for most of the week in my filthy little mind and uhm... Let's say it has helped me out a lot... to overcome my severe case of depression so this one's for you, babe."

He mentioned her again before playing The Funeral Of Hearts:

"This one's dedicated once again to the lovely lady. I'm not sure whether she even saw me a week ago but that's how miraculous she was, she walked into a room and I started glowing and feeling all giddy inside, so that's good. Wish it could happen a bit more often."

////////////////////////////////////////////

I just saw this performance:

Scorpion's - Still Loving You:wub:

Also, why do You all guess that Dark Light was the big deal in North America? Was it just timing? Hot Topic and BAM and his group, Kat included? Mtv range of music and videos then, it was still more rock saturated until Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga hit big and Amy Winehouse was a major player as well with changing things here.

Just wondering. I think they have much better work than Dark Light, but I know that if you mention them here, that album and time period is directly sighted as being who HIM are to everyone here.

Also, about the new album, to me, every album is a bit of a different direction and so I can imagine what Ville has said about exploring new things and a new direction, but I can't imagine just what that might entail as of now and taking the last three albums into consideration. The last three are especially different.

What are your thoughts and or wishes? I do believe in what Ville has said and that we are in a long waiting period before new music in the Autumn of 2017.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
