Hasn't done anything except work tirelessly for your civil rights.

This isnt a list of women that have worked hard for civil rights.

You said Cyndi hasn't done anything for 20 years, I was simply correcting you. Nothing about the list.

Its obvious I was talking about doing nothing in terms of getting Cyndi on that list.

Obviously I wasnt insinuating that Cyndi has been looked in a room for 20 years just looking at the wall.

Janet's only real shining moment as far are lyrics are concerned is probably Rhythm Nation 1814. other than that...um :flop:

if this were "Greatest Female Lyricists in Music" I guarantee you no pop star would probably ever make that list...actually I'd like to see what that list would look like

1. Beyonce Knowles

Bey slaying these VH1 rankings. First number one pop song, now 3rd best pop star :legend:

Gwen is on there!!!! If only that No Doubt album would have been out already she wouldve easily been in the top ten.

I KNOWWW! I'm just glad she's on the list lmao I don't think gwen fans care about this honestly.

I love them all, but come on we all know who #1 is. GAGA's voice alone is way better then any of them!

I like gaga, don't get me wrong. But do you seriously believe she has a better voice than Amy Lee, Norah Jones and Sarah Mclachlan. Those three are way better vocalist.

lol umm no. She didn't say her name once. All she was doing was stating a matter of fact- that she doesn't lip-sync so fail.

That's why it's called shade.

Madonna sold an image and damn good one at that.

BUT to say she is the greatest woman in music...?

'Ray of Light'.

Need I say more?

One final note: Please do not try to compare Gaga and Madonna. Each have their own merits. I respect both artists.

Yea she doesn't deserve it. Why don't you do your own research on her. All she is is a self-absorbed, arrogant woman who buys all her songs from other people and uses all the relevant, young artists to keep herself relevant. A pretty pathetic excuse for an artist if I do say so myself. Leave this place and go elsewhere if you're gonna be a madonna stan. This place is for GaGa

Own research....I've seen most of her interviews, music videos, tours, performances, press conferences and both her documentaries. I think I know her a lot better than you. OH and i'm allowed to have Madonna as my #1 pop singer yet still like gaga. Madonna has written nearly all of her songs from her 3rd album onwards. She has only had 4 duet songs in her 30 year career. Oh and don't act all high and mighty. EVERYONE is self absorbed and arrogant from time to time. I conclusion, you are talking out of your ass.

Some of these rankings are pretty terrible, if it really is supposed to be the greatest female artists of ALL time. The sheer stupidity of some of the anti-Madonna comments from kids too young to understand her influence is pretty funny. If Gaga is still around 30 years from now, the kids of these kids are going to be calling Gaga old and desperate! Madonna and Gaga are both amazing in their own rights, but the real difference between them is that Madonna revolutionized the music industry while Gaga reinvigorated it.

And Adele is incredibly talented, but it's too soon to rank her so high. She released a great album that has a fresh unique sound for the current pop scene, with lyrics that really resonate with people's heartstrings. And sadly, music sales are and will never be like it once was, which is working in Adele's favour cause her music truly crosses genres and all ages.
