THIS MONSTER'S BALL - a poem about Lady Gaga

THIS MONSTER’S BALL

On the stage the Lady stands

On ever-changing shifting sands

To sing, to dance, to entertain

To perform for her fans again

Poker Face and Bad Romance

Paparazzi and Just Dance

Her Telephone it rings so loud

Heard above the roaring crowd

Money Honey and The Fame

It’s the Monster Ball again

Teeth and Monsters here do dwell

She Dances in the Dark so well

I’m So Happy I Could Die

Her live singing is no lie

Piano goddess, keytar queen

The best that there has ever been

Quirky fashion and high art

She aims well with her dark art

To Marry the Night and not the day

Gaga will never fade away

She loves her fans the most you see

She bleeds for us regularly

And so we love her in return

She will never crash and burn

Music is the Lady’s life

No ignorance, no fear, no strife

She preaches love, acceptance too

Because her religion’s you

All of us should understand

The simple message close at hand

Be yourself and never stray

Because we were all born this way

I'm not completely happy with the 6th verse but when the muse strikes I have to write or I forget about it by the next day. Not sure about the title either as its my second attempt (The Lay of Lady Gaga was the first), any better suggestions would be much appreciated ;)

Great job! Other than you rhyming "art" with "art" and the usage of the word "regularly" ('twas a little awkward), it was really awesome. It gave me the feeling of anticipation like as if I myself were going to the ball. The beginning verses were really strong! Keep it up

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Nice - I especially like the ending. If you want, you could make it flow a bit better (like that regularly)

Also I'm not sure she would aim well ... maybe high?

But otherwise I think it's really sweet

Thanks, I didn't actually notice I'd rhymed art with art at first, lol, it came to me lying in bed last night. I need to tweak it a bit anyway, I'm not happy with the 6th verse and I can think of a couple of other small changes :)

The revised version, came on here to watch the Simpsons episode (why is the commentary topic locked btw?), checked my content and noticed I never posted the update, as Homer would say "doh!"

She aims well with her thrown dart

Marry the Night and not the day

Gaga will never fade away

She loves her fans so much you see

So warm and kind to you and me

And so we love her in return

She will never crash and burn
