I'm very happy with this news. Hopefully Gaga gets a good break, can write some good music, find her footing and make a really solid album.

I'd rather wait for a really good album than make her release something she isn't satisfied with.

Can we be humbled for a second and remember that what she accomplishes in one year alone is basically more than what most of us regular humans do in an entire life time......She JUST released C2C and did like what, EIGHTY ArtRaves traveling all around the world!? 2016 makes sense. at least she didn't say "SOON"  :coffee:

With this tour with Tony and promoting the Cheek 2 Cheek era, I guess it was to be expected.  She has to have some time off after that from promoting and touring and a life, decompress, and then move back into the studio, but, dayum, that's three years between original music being released by her.  While Cheek 2 Cheek makes her happy, it is putting a wrinkle in her time line for her next album because of touring for this.

It's strange for a woman claiming to have been so deeply effected by s-xual abuse to work closely with artists like Terry Richardson and R. Kelly. I'm not casting any judgment on her. It just seems hypocritical for her to work with two men who are known to take advantage of young women, while at the same time bleeding on about how traumatic it was to have been taken advantage of by older men.

I hate to cast doubt on her story, but I think she may be exaggerating…like she often does.

This.  I wish Howard would have called her on that point.

It just seems like a Gaga interview is always victim, d--gs, depression.  I guess I've heard it so much from her it seems like it doesn't affect me anymore or move me.  Maybe I'm just a coldpopb---h.

Great interview. Instead of complaining when Gaga doesn't act like a typical pop star people should celebrate that they Stan for an intelligent, talented, knowledgable musician who wants to hold pop to a higher standard.

She's all of those things and what I love about her, but ARTPOP is far from holding pop to a higher standard.

I think Tony and Gaga might be recording a special Christmas EP, why else would they be singing Winter Wonderland in the studio?? If they really wanted to sing together for no purpose except for practice why wouldn't they just use a song from the album?? It would make sense too :excited2: Also, she didn't say anything else about them singing in the studio, she just went right on to the next topic without saying another word about it. IDK just seems like a strong possibility to me :)

I had always thought that Gaga wasn't raped in the traditional way we think of rape, when a man physically overpowers a woman and forces her to have s-x with him. Based on the way she described it in the past, it seemed to me like the s-x was coerced but technically voluntary. I thought that her producer may have said to her "have s-x with me or I will not work with you or attempt to promote your music". So in this scenario the s-x wouldn't truly be rape. Her producer would be taking advantage of her and the whole situation would be morally wrong but, as long as she consents to s-x, it isn't rape. But then again, if you have someone pointing a gun at someone else's head saying, "have s-x with me or die" and the person agrees to have s-x to avoid being killed, that would be rape, right? So, Im not sure where the line is.

Anyway, by what she said in this interview, I think it is more likely that she was actually raped in the traditional way.

I'm surprised that someone as smart as you believes in denying someone's assault experiences like you're doing here. It is thoughts like that that perpetrate rape culture into placing the blame onto the victims. How can you hold her working with Terry and Kelly against her if that's how she felt it was necessary to share her story? Please don't be one of the thousands of people who don't believe victims when they come out about their stories. We already have plenty of those people in the world f*cking everything up.

I would wish Gaga would take an even longer rest just to spite the majority of you. Some of you are just angry cuz Gaga doesn't want to keep up with your own promotional schedule you made up in your head because you don't have an actual carreer or goals to follow yourselves. Go smell the roses guys.
