yeah constantinople/byzantium/istanbul(when turks took over) we're heavily influenced by greek culture.

I remember in my World History exam, a lot of people lost out points because they couldn't grasp the concept that Byzantium, Constantinople and Istanbul were all the same city. I wasn't bothered though. I'm usually the student whose test is the one they base the curve off. Only missed one point on a test out of 100 and got 5 extra credit points. Left me looking very Heavy Metal and Reflective  :sis:

good job! when my teacher this year was talking about the eastern roman empire and how confusing it could be she just told us to listen to that "Istanbul not constantinople" song over and over again  :deadbanana: .
