I don't expect her to recreate the quality of that album but my point is it's sad to see her not being as bold in her music anymore. Don't get me wrong, Hard Candy and MDNA both have some decent songs, but it's pretty hard to deny that over the past five or six years she's just been hopping from one trend to another, resulting in pretty generic outcomes. She's the Queen of Pop, the most iconic, successful and influential female in the history of popular music and this is the standard of her current output? A few Avicii leftovers? Ever since Hard Candy, she's kind of been two steps behind. Same with Rebel Heart but I love the way it sounds.
