it's selling well but it's getting bought by the wrong consumers, consumers with zero influence

basically the problem is that cool kids aren't interested

so the sales actually hurt her brand

It's true that no "coo kid" is gonna buy a jazz album nowadays, but it's not hurting her brand at all. More people are starting to appreciate her with this album and they will pay attention to her in the future.

Yeah I think the fretting is pretty stupid tbh. No offense though.

My first musical artist obsession was Tori Amos, for example. Her first CD in 1991 was platinum or double platinum, whatever- not the point- she makes albums to this day. Since that album, she has rarely, if ever (not for a long time!) had any chart topping songs. Her albums appear on the charts but never go too high.

Her fans are loyal, so she still has a career. Floppy chart-based fans are really the only thing I can see hurting her career when they jump ship due to lack of commercial success.

Don't we allegedly love THE MUSIC and Gaga as A PERSON?

Tori Amos still makes music, still has her fans, and even without world domination, I'm willing to bet she is quite happy with her career.

Gaga made it SO BIG that NO ONE can force her out of the industry- unless she herself leaves it.

So if you absolutely have to worry, worry that she will never make another song that you like- and what you will obsess over then?! :nooo: Because isn't that really the issue??

who is she?

That's the take-away from everything I said? :wtfga:

Wikipedia, gooogle... she's a musician who debuted in 91. What's to know? She plays the piano VERY well...

:toofunga: I know the time span is vast, but yeah, I think it applies. It is just one example. There are more recent examples, but this was what came to mind. Tori is awesome. If you like AcousticGa and WeirdGa, you should check her out. :)

Gaga herself should worry for her career not us.All we should care is for to be happy and make good songs for us

If she isn't sucessfull she won't be happy neither make good songs

If she makes good songs she will be successful and make us happy so she will be happy..that's how it goes :ohwell:

I think I'm not worried about her work on next album/era. The question is: will the new management be good in doing pop (?) eras.
