Israel - Palestine Conflict Discussion Thread 2.0

The first large-scale exoduses took place in the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from Iraq, Yemen and Libya. In these cases over 90% of the Jewish population left, despite the necessity of leaving their property behind.[4]Two hundred and sixty thousand Jews from Arab countries immigrated to Israel between 1948 and 1951, accounting for 56% of the total immigration to the newly founded state.[5] Following the establishment of the State of Israel, a plan to accommodate 600,000 immigrants over four years, doubling the existing Jewish population, was submitted by the Israeli government to the Knesset.[6]The plan, however, encountered mixed reactions; there were those within the Jewish Agency and government who opposed promoting a large-scale emigration movement among Jews whose lives were not in danger.[6]

The reasons for the exodus included push factors, such as persecution, antisemitism, political instability,[15] poverty[15] and expulsion, together with pull factors, such as the desire to fulfill Zionist yearnings or find a better economic status and a secure home in Europe or the Americas. The history of the exodus has been politicized, given its proposed relevance to the historical narrative of the Arab-Israeli conflict.[16]

So the reasons why they left vary. And even though it's stupid or whatever, it's true that antisemitism increased since the first Russian Zionists came to Palestine.

It's not because "the religion tells them to"; we've been talking about this before Jews had their golden age in Islamic Spain and they were taken as refugees and were in high positions during Ottoman Empire.

That all happened before Zionism came alive.

Also according to that logic, should we kick all Muslims out because of their ****ty leaders in their countries ?

Then your talking about a really long time ago.. we are not talking history here. Everyone with no exception has bad history. I never said it was ok to kick jews out of the Middle East, im just showing that the motives are political.

Fun fact and unrelated. without all the genocides, persecution and forced conversion there would be over 200 million Jews today. (Rn there are roughty 17 million I think)

All pro-Palestinian arguments lead to the hatred of Jews, even if Israel were demolished,  their new homeland would come under attack for 'Political' reasons...

Simon, he said they(all religions/ethnicities) lived peacefully and for the most part they did. European Jews started moving to Palestine in large scale already in 1882? Long time before WW2. So that was one of the main reasons for increased antisemitism.

There were several massacres and forced conversion. They had it better than European Jews but I wouldn't call it peaceful either. And even if the reason was that it's bulls--t. Should Central Europeans kick now Muslims out because of Iran,Yemen or Saudi Arabia? Obvioulsy not.

I'm so done. Nobody ever cared for us. For most people it would be better if we just disappear. I'm feeling weak and need to go to bed. night.

Im just teasing you and joking because you always use emotional arguments when you lose like saying nobody like us we will go to the moon.. and the only reason jews did not force others into their religion is because they believe that you must have a jewish DNA to be a Jew!!!!!!! isnt that ironic? I dont want to explain why thats ironic ive said enough.

I dont see any hatred in any of my arguments! this is all in your mind because thats how you see us.. your arguments are only based on assumptions, predictions and falsely accusing others.

I didn't say it's right. Don't take this as personal attack against you. You know me by now.

Woolfsmck has me thinking. What would happen if Palestinians ceased violence? Settlements would still happen of course but it's true that if Palestinians stop reacting to violence with violence it's actually in their best interest in the end because Israel and its defenders won't have any good arguments left to defend or skip past their actions in the international eye.

Sadly too many people benefit from discord, I guess..
