Disproportionate violence as usual. But let's not forget what was posted earlier: Netanyahu lifting the blame off of Hitler for the Holocaust I have to say, that's a dangerous and genius tactical trap for dumb Jews to fall into, but I hope the average one is elegant enough to roll their eyes at him and realize once again that he is an embarrassment of a leader. Luiz 4,253
JERUSALEM — An Israeli soldier shot and killed a Jewish man he suspected was a Palestinian "terrorist" in Jerusalem, police said Thursday, in a reflection of the jittery mood that has gripped Israelis amid a spate of near-daily Palestinian stabbing attacks. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said soldiers deployed in Jerusalem to reinforce police demanded late Wednesday that the man show them his ID. The man refused, scuffled with the soldiers and then attempted to seize one of their weapons. One soldier shot the man, who later died of his wounds, Rosenfeld said. "The soldiers had high suspicions that he was a terrorist," he said. The Palestinian attacks have Israelis on edge. When an Arab citizen of Israel opened fire at a bus station in southern Israel on Sunday, killing an Israeli soldier and wounding several people, a private security guard shot an Eritrean migrant he thought was an attacker. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/israeli-soldier-kills-jewish-man-mistaken-attacker-jerusalem-n449006 fear cuts deeper than swords I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it. Then they get criticized for excessive force when they make mistakes. Since they won't allow neutral forces to help separate and try to calm the situation, I think that some of the violence is more than self defense. On both sides. Its clear that the Palestinian side is being stoked by Islamic radicals tho, and their account of events is pure biased. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. lego 44,165
American mainstream media is so damn biased and superficial in their reporting, it makes me vomit. They don't want to piss off their allies. No wonder so many believed in WMD and invasion of Iraq, not surprised that so many voted for Bush twice and soon so many will vote for Trump. This is 3rd Jew on Jew killing plus lynching of Eritrean refugee, 4 "mistakes" already, but they are only sorry they got wrong nationality/ethnicity. There is no mention of settlers yelling "Arab terrorist! Shoot him!" and trigger-happy IOF who keeps changing the story. Where are the news about woman they shot while still holding ice-cream in their hands only later to admit that she was maybe just mentally ill and not a terrorist. I'm sure there are many mentally ill after decades of oppression and collective punishment and living under military occupation. No one talks about already two suspicious videos of planting knives after suspects have been shot, not to mention the size of knives and fully armed soldiers are unable to disarm and arrest them without killing them, where is all that Krav Maga bull****? We saw in past, it is possible...when you're 100% sure that suspect is not Palestinian. Independent journalists are the best. And twitter, there might be some misinformation, but mostly you get updated with real time videos and photos and when things go viral, mainstream media is forced to report on it. BBC reported on 50 dead and implied they're all Israelis when in fact over 40 were Palestinians. Average reader/listener is manipulated, the stories are distorted and that Malcom X quote describes it perfectly. FreePalestine
lego 44,165
Yesh Din ييش دين יש דין*** Human Rights Organizations in Israel: Politicians’ calls to police and soldiers to shoot rather than arrest endorse the killing of Palestinians ***Since the beginning of the current wave of violence, there has been a worrying trend to use firearms to kill Palestinians who have attacked Israelis or are suspected of such attacks. Several incidents have been documented and reported, raising concern that the chosen response to such persons is the harshest possible, with lethal or – at the very least – unnecessary consequences. In instances when Jews have been suspected of attacks, none of the suspects has been shot.Politicians and senior police officers have not only failed to act to calm the public climate of incitement, but on the contrary have openly called for the extrajudicial killing of suspects. They have also urged civilians to carry weapons. For example, Jerusalem District Police Commander Moshe Edri was quoted as saying: “Anyone who stabs Jews or hurts innocent people is due to be killed.” Interior Security Minister Gilad Arden declared that “every terrorist should know that he will not survive the attack he is about to commit.” MK Yair Lapid stated that “you have to shoot to kill anyone who pulls out a knife or screwdriver.” Much of the media joined in and encouraged a similar approach. The bodies responsible for supervising police operations – the State Attorney’s Office and the Department for the Investigation of Police – remained silent in the face of these comments.No-one disputes the serious nature of the events of recent days, nor the need to protect the public against stabbing and other attacks. However, it seems that too often, instead of acting in a manner consistent with the nature of each incident, police officers and soldiers are quick to shoot to kill. The political and public support for such actions endorses the killing Palestinians in the Territories and in Israel.Rather than imposing collective punishment on Palestinians in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip, the Israeli government should act to end the reality of ongoing and daily oppression faced by some four million people who live without hope of any change in the situation, without any horizon for the end of occupation, and without prospects for a life of liberty and dignity. The statement is signed by the following organizations: Association for Civil Rights in Israel, Amnesty International – Israel Branch, B'Tselem, Gisha, Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, HaMoked – Center for the Defence of the Individual, Yesh Din – Volunteers for Human Rights, Adalah – The Legal Center for the Rights of the Arab Minority in Israel, Physicians for Human Rights – IsraelPhoto: screen capture from the video documenting the shooting of Asraa Zidan Taupiq Abed, who was shot and injured in the Afula central bus station. https://m.facebook.com/yeshdin/photos/a.10150092257912604.308107.284842737603/10153684843482604/?type=3&theater https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yesh_Din FreePalestine

Didymus 34,380
Thats not an argumentI don't think you need to be presented with "arguments" to know that Hamas is blatantly antisemitic when it suits them and uses Islamic themes such as martyrdom to stimulate and promote Palestinian violence. And that's just on the official level. And even if there were only political motives - Palestine isn't innocent of disproportionate violence and to justify it under the guise of "they're only asking for civil rights" is an almost comical manipulation of the facts. Whoever dies defending his home, his land is considered martyr. It's part of that culture. But it's not always a motivation, you know? There are much more extreme groups which Hamas is trying to deal with like "Islamic Jihad" and some others, who also shoot rockets, but Israel holds Hamas responsible.
