A good message definitely (and some of their music is :legend: ) It's a pity they don't have the same political power of the Catholic Church though

the pentecostal movement is growing and having a lot political impact and will have even morei n the future!

i don't like hillsong, my family are christian and on a trip to sydney when i was little we went to the first hillsong church the people were really rich and snobby and kinda looked down on us cause we were just visiting, but i agree with what they have said about the gay community, i just wish more churches would be brave do the same

But you realize all of Jesus parts were written after the supposed events took place by people who were also not Jesus and God right?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Statement from Brian Houston - Senior Pastor, Hillsong Church

Re: recent media comments on homos-xuality

"I encourage people not to assume a media headline accurately represents what I said at a recent press conference.

Nowhere in my answer did I diminish biblical truth or suggest that I or Hillsong Church supported gay marriage. I challenge people to read what I actually said, rather than what was reported that I said. My personal view on the subject of homos-xuality would line up with most traditionally held Christian views. I believe the writings of Paul are clear on this subject."

THAT is their view on gay people.

lmao. so incredibly typical. this is the eeriest part to me, and one that supporters should pay particular notice to:

"I made the point that public statements condemning people will place a barrier between the church and the world"

so, "we don't say how we really feel in case it prevents us from luring you into our cult". :)

thanks for posting that.

I don't believe in the bible

I believe in god and jesus and saint mary just for faith

whatever it's written in the bibile is irrelavant to me cause a normal person wrote that adding some of his personal views of life, plus people need to understand that the bible was written 2015 years, things have changed A LOT since then

it's ridiculous to base our lives in something that was written 2 milleniums ago by an ordinary man

This Brian Houston is a real gem:

The alleged abuse victim of Frank Houston today told a public hearing that his son, Brian Houston, blamed him for being a temptation.

AHA described being "petrified" and laying "very still" in his bed when Houston came into his bedroom and s-xually assaulted him, the Guardian reports.

"I could not speak while this was happening and felt like I couldn't breathe. It felt like forever," he added.

The victim said his abuser "lost interest" in him upon his reaching puberty. He was discouraged from pursuing legal action against Houston for fear of "turning people from the church and sending them to hell".

In 2000, Frank Houston allegedly met with AHA in a McDonalds, and offered him $10,000 in return for the victim's "forgiveness".

However, when the money had not arrived two months later, AHA said he rang Brian, who, AHA claims, said: "You know it's your fault all of this happened – you tempted my father."

Further allegations have since come to light. Simeon Beckett, counsel assisting the commission, said during his opening statement today that AoG had kept quiet "substantial" allegations that Frank had s-xually abused six boys.

At least 50 New Zealand pastors were apparently aware of these allegations but it was decided not to make them public.

Didymus

Jesus said so many things that nobody does. Mess at them and others paying more attention to what he didn't say.

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate their father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:26

Homos-xuality is so overrated in religious discussions. Religious people should pay far more attention to what is demanded, also on a (hetero)s-xual level, from themselves, because in reading the Bible it's almost immediately obvious that they're not following most of the commandments themselves.

At the risk of sounding insulting, why then believe in God, Jesus and Saint Mary? :air:

Economy

Well the bile states its homos-xual acts are wrong... Not in the quotes from Jesus but in other areas... If u dont believe the bible is true, then theres no reason to believe in Jesus to begin with

I see the paradox :coffee:
