Whispering 18,865
I'm not saying that she should hide it, I'm saying it's becoming like the boy who cries wolf. I want Gaga to be okay and I broke my heart to read that she's still battling these things. All I'm saying is that obviously she isn't receiving the proper treatment she needs. I feel as if she should take the time out and really get herself together so she will be okay instead of saying she's saved every five minutes when she's really not. I have the right to read anything I want to read and voice my opinion because this is a public forum. If you don't want to read "immature" opinions, then maybe you should stop visiting a discussion board. :) No, that's incorrect. Addiction recovery is usually a long process, that stretches over several years, with periods of relapses. Gaga isn't saying this "every five minutes". The fact that you exaggerated to that extent, and that you are "feeling confused and exhausted" with a person's life that you don't even know, goes back to what I was saying in my original message. You have a right to voice your opinion, but I have a right to disagree with your opinion and thoughts. Maybe fans who don't understand about true clinical depression or addiction should think before they comment. Then their immaturity and lack of knowledge on these subjects wouldn't get questioned. :)

Also I'm not sitting around stressing about Gaga's life at all . I understand addiction is not easy, I get that. I have addictions of my own and I've battled with depression. I know I may have come off as insensitive by what I said, but it wasn't meant to be. In the future when Gaga has her periods of happiness and sobriety, I would prefer if she would say "I'm progressing towards sobriety and happiness." Or, "Insert name here____ is helping me get to a better place. Instead of, "I'm happy, sober and such a such has saved my life." But she's a grown woman and can say what she wants. I wish her all the best at the end of the day. It's science, bitch
Battle 4 Ur Life 6,707
I think she's in a better place now. She just has to face how much she already lost and start over like she means it. Be Brave, Gaga! “Fantastic, chic, freak, slay.”
Bye 3,947
I don't get many of the comments here. We've long known it was Elton who helped her sober up, I clearly recall reading about it a year or two ago. So yes, Elton saved her health in a way while Tony saved her in the sense that he I spired her to keep making music. Not so difficult to understand, is it? And no need to ridicule or act confused regarding Gaga's statement. It's very simple.

I wish her all the best at the end of the day. That may be what you would say in the same circumstances (given that you had been struggling with chemical addictions for years and clinical depression with suicidal ideation, while being one of the most well-known public figures of our time), but you can't expect another person to say what "you would prefer". You get to speak for yourself and Gaga gets to speak for herself. If you don't like what you are hearing, quit listening! On another note: Back in 1969, Elton John was unhappily engaged to be married to then girlfriend Linda Woodrowthe. The pre-fame singer-songwriter was so messed up in the head, he was seriously contemplating suicide. He was persuaded out of both suicide and sham marriage by friend, chart topper and (a rarity back then) the out gay Long John Baldry – the ‘someone’ referred to in the title. The whole story resurfaced six years later as the subject for one of Elton’s most affecting songs. MonsterRocket 55
She always talks about people saving her while in long run it appears to be not necessarily true. Drama to me is talking too much and worrying others. When it's said that something it's not appeared to be necessarily true, doesn't it mean that it can actually be true? I don't get the way you're trying to use 'necessarily' in this context. How hasn't it appeared to be not necessarily true though? How can it be proven that both Elton John and Tony Bennett or whoever haven't helped her?
lavenderblondee 3,695
She really needs to take care of herself, I hope Taylor will tell her the same and have a good impact on her! MTE. :)

She is very sensitive of course. I just cannot get used to after BTW Gaga.

A Beaverhausen 280
I have a cousin in the music industry, Tarja Turunen (The original lead singer -Nightwish) and I've seen how Cut throat and evil it can get behind the scenes. They don't see you as a person, you are just an object Making them richer. Fame hungry wolves. I have so much respect And love for gaga because she may have fallen but she hasn't Given up fighting. You need to be a very strong person to deal with The fame monsters. Not only that but the fact she has been dealing with Drug and alcohol addictions, an eating disorder in the past Depression and all her own demons. Mental illness should be taken seriously And gaga does NOT deserve all the hatred and criticism she gets daily. People forget celebrities are people too, money can't buy life. I am proud of gaga for being brave and honest with her battles, she has Come far and will get through this with all our love and support. We belong together For life baby. To infinity and beyond #VENUS stop the drama, start the music #ARTPOP

llbcherry 591
I'm not trying to say that she is still f*cked up on d--gs all the time because I definitely don't think she is as much as she used to be, but I don't think she'd really say in-depth at a M&G about how sober she is. People who take a lot of d--gs/alcohol don't really have a a habit of saying how much they actually do use. Realest part of whole thread. I find it hard to believe she is clean and sober. This does not come from a place of judgement, but of understanding. And how is she the only person in history to say they are a d--g addict but are only referring to pot?!? Guys... no one does that. No one. Love ya Gags.
