gagzus 15,831 Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Dope is a great song, but imo it's so out of place in the album I think it actually works really well especially following MJH & then being followed by Gypsy, the later part of the album post-ARTPOP (the song) kinda reminds me of 2012-2013 Donatella & Fashion! being her looks & stuff in 2012, MJH being the cusp before she broke her hip when she was stoned pretty much all day every day, then Dope is when she crashes and realises what it's done to her and her loved ones (I still say she wrote Dope because she feared Taylor was gonna leave her or he threatened to leave her if she didn't get sober) and then Gypsy is when she starts recovering and is about Taylor & the positive parts of the BTWB then Applause was her return to the stage & performing (ironic since it was her "comeback" single) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
