Applause 650
Thank you everyone for your stay safe comments.. I am thinking the chaos is over now.. It's just a lot to handle for all us, as students and staff.. It's just one of those things you don't expect to happen around you and when it does you have trouble processing it all right away. RIP to the person who died.. I don't know the name yet. Xalser
Morphine Prince 109,983
This keeps happening in America, and somehow, no one seems to understand that is because of the easy access to guns. Gosh, here in Europe its not a common thing. Because not everyone can hold a gun... Wtf is wrong with you America? It's not that they don't understand, it's that gun lobbyists like the NRA and gun corporations don't want laws to be changed. Of course they know why these shootings happen. They just have so much influence in the government that they can stop change. But of course there are the delusional people who are like "Obummer won't take my gunz!!!" Gagaloo911 12,959
This is what happens when people have easy access to guns. How many more shootings have to take place before something is done about it??? Probably thousands. So long as money speaks and the gun lobbyists continue to have their influence on the government, it is unlikely that anything is gonna change. I mean the legislature here increased background checks on those trying to buy guns and limited magazine capacities here in Colorado after the Aurora movie theater shooting and people went NUTS! In fact some of the legislators that passed that legislation got recalled and others were put in their place. Our governor almost lost the election this year just from signing that legislation into law. And many Republicans are attempting to abolish those laws and take them away even now as we speak. This keeps happening in America, and somehow, no one seems to understand that is because of the easy access to guns. Gosh, here in Europe its not a common thing. Because not everyone can hold a gun... Wtf is wrong with you America? To the OP: stay safe :Kara: You don't understand the way this country is run though. The gun lobbyists such as the NRA and other pro-gun organizations have massive influence over the government, as well as many of the people who buy into their propaganda by making them believe they need MORE guns to stay safe, and that the government limiting access to guns is "unconstitutional" and overreach. Not to mention the influence of money in our government, which is another discussion in itself. Don't expect that to change anytime soon, as MONEY is all that matters in this country, and there's lots of it on the pro-guns side ;)
