Dragon Age: Inquisition has been withdrawn from sale in India “n order to avoid a breach of local content laws.†The RPG has been removed from the Indian Origin service and customers have been issued refunds and an apology. Milestone Interactive, EA's local distributor, has also confirmed Dragon Age: Inquisition will not be sold at retail, reports IGN India.

“In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, Electronic Arts has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India,†the publisher said in a statement. “Unfortunately, that means we’re unable to fulfill your Origin order.â€

“All affected purchases for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be refunded. This applies regardless of payment method or date of purchase.

“Dragon Age: Inquisition may still temporarily appear in your Origin library, but it will be removed before its launch date.â€

Milestone Interactive, told NDTV Gadgets the decision related to the game’s homos-xual s-x scenes. However, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, the Mass Effect trilogy, and a raft of The Sims games remain available via Origin in India despite featuring same-s-x romance options. We've contacted EA for comment.

In December 2013 the Indian Supreme Court restored an 1861 law that criminalises homos-xual intercourse. The law had previously been struck down by a lower court for being unconstitutional.

This makes me more sad than angry, fans of the franchise all the way back to 2009 won't be able to continue their story :emo:

For one of the most intelligent races it sure is a step way the Fu*k Back. More appalled by the supreme courts ruling

It's unfortunate, but this is a symptom of a much larger human rights problem in India.

Marrying a dog in India is okay, but consensual relations between same-s-x people..? That's just wrong. :usrs:

Side-note: Cackling at the fact that Amazon India is still selling the strategy guide for the game, despite it being banned. [Link]

EA put a DRM on it that prevents this, for now :fan:

oh right, that stupid DRM thats supposed to take months for people to crack, rather than a few minutes.

Only other option then is to import or change where your Origin location is (assuming you can.)
