Do you think Gaga looks healthy?

Adele's fans accept her with no problem while Gaga fans complain when she has a small tummy bulge. The superficiality of some in this fanbase must be so disheartening for her.

I would just like to state, I'm a woman, and I am the same height as Gaga, our bodies are built almost identically, so let me explain how hard it is to stay in the recommended weight when you are 5'1 and like to eat more than once a day. Gaga had to be starving herself around TFM and the beginning or BTW because for me to weigh around 100 pounds which i'm guessing is what she weighed around then I have to starve myself and work my ass off exercise wise. I can do it, but I'm I end up starving most of the time, having a headache, and just feeling overall bad. Then when I start eating like a normal human being again I can gain up to 30 pounds in 2 months and I'm still exercising. I can tell you, it gets old, being 5'1 and trying to stay in the low 100's is really hard. I weigh around 135 right now and feel better than ever, I'm guessing Gaga probably weighs around 120-130 which is still in the healthy weight range for her height. I'm so sick of the nasty comments, and the constant remarks on her weight. She is a woman, she is a 28 year old woman who is short. She isn't going to have a metabolism like she did when she was 22, she loves to eat, which who can blame her? She is beautiful! Stop the hate, I think she looks better now than she used to honestly. Please stop viewing stars as just objects to look at, and start seeing them as people. Is it hurting you if she can't fit in a size 2?

Oh, so it's okay to "offend" and say that someone who is skinny is unhealthy but not the other way around?

Her weight has floated SO MUCH in the last year. That's NOT HEALTHY.

I may sound rude, but it's not that if you are overweight (or you think so) then you have to say that she looks better than ever right now just to make you feel comfortable. YOU SHOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE NO MATTER WHAT! It's your body, it's you who decides how it must be. People have their opinions, BUT THE ONLY OPINION THAT COUNTS IS YOURS.

I'm a bit like Gaga, my weight floats sometimes too...But I know that I look better when I'm a bit thinner and TONED.

I hate when people say that she looked emaciated/unhealthy during TFM/BTW. Her weight was stable, and never looked too thin (Telephone video maybe, but that was still ok). SHE WAS TONED. She probably made a lot of workout at the time. And, please, don't say she was starving herself. When I went to the gym 2 years ago, my Nutritionist Doc gave me a diet that made me lose a lot of FAT but made me gain LEAN BODY MASS. That's what she had: LEAN BODY MASS. Lean body mass occupies less space than fat, that's why she looked skinny.

You know what? She's not toned now. She has gained fat, that's undeniable, and not healthy (as I explained at the beginning of the post). If you say she looked unhealthy and too thin and not toned during TFM/BTW, then you must admit that she's not healthy and a BIT overweight now (double chin, belly). The time when she was looking the healthier was during TF or during APPLAUSE: she had curves not because of the fat, but because she was toned as hell. But everyone has their opinions, in fact I liked her better during TFM/BTW.

But remember, it's YOU who has to like yourself first of all.

Now I'm ready for all GGD to tell me to f*ck off or telling me to go to die ecc ecc

Well said :applause:

I can tell that Gaga was too thin for her body type back during TFM, especially during the Monsterball 1.0. She lost a lot of weight very quickly. The VMA Papaprazzi performance happened a few months before the tour started and you can tell in those few months she lost like 10 pounds, which is a lot for someone who was probably 105 to begin with. She was more muscular and fit looking before and then got skinny. This isn’t healthy and indicates that she was eating too little. Gaga even said during one of her concerts, “I’ve been starving myself for months for this momentâ€.  She also has admitted that she has struggled with eating disorders in the past and went through periods when she didn’t eat enough because she wanted to be thinner.

Don’t tell me she was healthier then when all the evidence indicates that she was starving herself. Maybe you are at your healthiest when you are skinny but everyone’s bodies are different.

Gaga says a lot of things, probably not even half of them are true. Almost everyone has some eating disorders sooner or later in their life, ok, but she's often too exaggerated when she says that she was not eating/starving herself. She's probably 150/155cm or so, being around 45kg is pretty normal. There's no evidence in being skinny=unhealthy either. The thing is, since she's so small, even a gain of 1 or 2 kg looks a lot on her. And I'm not assuming she's not healthy right now, just saying that I prefer her when she's thinner and more toned. But everyone has their opinions.

The real thing that I wanted to say is that people in order to defend everything Gaga does or to feel more comfortable with themselves often say thin=unhealthy. If someone says that (on this site) that's ok, but if someone says she's chubby, a little fat, should lose some weight.........OH LORD PLEASE OPEN THE GATES OF HEAVEN, a whole army will come for you head.

She's was probably healthy then, like she's probably healthy now. But you can't attack someone or get offended if someone prefers her when se was in TFM or BTW

And I hope no one deny that her dance moves now are not as good as before

Personally, I love her body in this video for example

That's not the deal, c'mon. We accept Gaga as she is, but someone prefers her like this, someone prefers her when she's thinner.

Adele and Gaga are both singer, but what they do and how they do it is very different.

Yes, in fact she has never looked so healthy like she does nowadays. I find this thread offensive and a tad ignorant tbh.

Why do you guys think she used to say "pop stars don't eat?" It's because she wasn't eating in order to meet the pressure she was feeling to be thin. The fashion and entertainment industries have done a lot of damage in regard to what is considered female beauty. Size 0 clothes and 10% body fat are not normal for 90% of females. Even female athletes don't always have 6 pack abs. Quit applying male physical standards ( which themselves are often unrealistic) to women, and the fashion industry needs to quit treating women like androgynous boys.

I am 5’1 also and I weight 97-100 pounds. To maintain this weight,  I go to the gym for about an hour every day doing weights and cardio. This only burns about 200-300 calories because the less you weight the less you burn for the same amount of effort. Also, if I eat more than around 1400 calories per day I will gain weight. To put that into perspective, a large plain bagel without any toppings is about 500 calories. I understand that bigger people are hungrier but eating isn’t just about satisfying hunger. Eating is an enjoyable experience and I feel frustrated that I cannot eat as much as a taller person without gaining weight. I feel like my body isn’t big enough to utilize the food I want to give it and it isn’t very fair. Its like on Holloween if a parent would allow different sized children of the same age different amounts of candy. The taller male kids can have 4 pieces while  the shorter females can only have 2. That is honestly how my life feels… So everyone who isn't a 5'1 female ( who isn't an ectomorph) will never understand how hard it is too stay slim.

First of all, anything at the extremities is considered unhealthy. To clarify, too fat = unhealthy; too skinny = unhealthy.

I am not in favour of her body shape atm, methinks she can slim down a bit more. Slim is s-xy to me. Those of the likes of KimK etc. who has a bloated bosom and bottom are really superficial. I have always linked the inability to stay fit as equivalent to being lazy.

I am not sure why caring about one's weight or image is deplorable to some. Anyone keen to clarify?

What you eat is more important than how much you eat. You gave a large plain bagel as an example but eating food like that would cause almost anyone to gain weight

To clarify:

Obese = unhealthy    too skinny =/= healthy

eating disorder =/= healthy (which is what Gaga was dealing with when she was her thinnest...and sadly what people like you want her to go back to. You want her to go back to being unhealthy!)

In reality, it doesn't matter what you "think" and it really doesn't matter what you find s-xy. (It's not like you are going to sleep with Gaga) :hehe:

Gaga needs to only please herself and stay healthy. She is extremely active 4 to 5 days a week, with two hours of constant aerobic type activity. On her off days, she is traveling and planning for her next promo and tour that comes right after this one. There is absolutely nothing about this non-stop routine that says lazy! :smh:

If you need an artist to be super skinny to appreciate their music, that's on YOU, not Gaga.

You could always go stan for Ariana or Taylor, they are certainly thin enough. BTW, it's interesting how you don't hear that Taylor is getting too skinny or needs to gain some weight on this site, isn't it.? Both of them look thinner than they have ever been. (and it isn't like they were even close to being overweight before) Does this mean they are unhealthy? Are they lazy because they aren't where they were weight wise a couple of years ago? How do we know if they are "healthy and fit"? Are they getting enough calories and the right food? Are they over exercising? Is their heart healthy? Are their muscles, tissues and organs getting all the nutrition they need?

I'm going to need to know all these things, before I can appreciate their talent and music. :haha:

The thing is her height also affects how she looks weight wise. For the average person, gaining 5-10 pounds isn't THAT obvious, but for Gaga it makes a huge difference. She goes through her ups and downs on weight depending on if she has a special video/photoshoot to shoot.

I'm not gonna lie and pretend I don't notice the "double chin" look, but she did say she puts on muscle weight during the show cuz it's a work out. She admits she looks heavier and doesn't like it either, but the tour is over VERY VERY soon, so she'll have time to slim down if she wants
