Die Hochzeit wurde allerdings nur deshalb vom Standesamt anerkannt, weil die transs-xuelle Irina, die sich im Prozess der Geschlechtsanpassung befindet, noch einen "männlichen" Pass vorlegen konnte. Gleichgeschlechtliche Ehen sind in Russland verboten.
