Pop 4,541
She's still my fave, but I'm not as obsessed as I was before the ARTPOP era happened. Maybe that's good. Very interesting that so many people say "Gaga will always be my favourite!". Had you asked me this question two years ago, my answer would have been identical. Now, not so much. I also think it's stupid for people to say "I'm not gonna abandon her because she had a bad era". 1) Just because she lost her place as #1 favourite, it doesn't mean she has been abandoned. 2) Why the hell not? At the core of it all, she's a musician and if she makes music that you don't like or don't think is as good as her other work, why on earth would you carry on being a super-fan when there are artists out there making the kind of music you do want to hear? I do appreciate that there is supposedly more to Gaga than just the music, but this is precisely the reason I have "gone off" her. She has the art, the performance, the fashion and most importantly the message. I feel that all of these elements have been forgotten about during ARTPOP and Cheek To Cheek. She walks around in plaid shirts and baseball caps and has a tour with less theatricality and spectacle than a Katy Perry concert. Perhaps most upsetting is that the message this time seems forced. I had seen her three times before the artRave, and all of them I believed every word she said. Her speeches at the artRave were contrived and often hypocritical, and always came second to his reckless no-art, no-responsibility, no-effort pseudo-rave. :trootea: :trootea: :trootea: The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
Guest
...one of these is not like the others! Lmao Gaga is the only pop artist I listen to. It's a bit difficult for me to enjoy manufactured pop stars as they're not musicians. I mean, you can get away with it if you're a vocalist like xtina but if you bring nothing to the game theres literally no point to you.. you're completely expendable. Scherzinger, for example, is on my list of people who I am at ease with. She doesn't create music, but her voice is phenomenal. She belongs behind a microphone. People that I don't get are of the Britney/Katy/Miley/Rihanna school of "we're a vessel for money". They bring no skill, talent or useful factor to the material they put out... like... what's the point? They could be anyone. #rant I can only agree with you especially the last paragraph
NIKE 274
yes but I have such a personal connection with SPW that it has become very close
Travis 543
During her main album cycle portion + when my tour dates come around she is. She's always right up there, but while she's quiet between albums or promotion/other legs of tours she's not. Like right now Nicki is is in full promotion mode and about to drop an album, so she's my fave atm. Gaga, Nicki, & Bey Gaga takes a precedence over the other two, though, because I've connected more with her personally and have been stanning for her since the beginning. Bebe 17,094
Yes, I think she is so incredibly talented. I listen to Just Dance and love it, I watch her VMA paparazzi performance in awe, I watch her TFM videos, I watch her Born This Way Grammy performance and watch the You and I video. I see her ARTPOP performances and listen t stunned as she performs Jazz so beautifully. Her talent is captivating and diverse. I don't see myself stanning for anybody like Gaga. I flirted with other artists before Gaga and adored them, but they can't bring me through a range of emotions and feelings like Gaga can.
Urban 9
To me Gaga has lost that spark that she had prior to ARTPOP. Don't know if it was the management or the hip, or whatever, but she seems really different to me now. I still do appreciate her and her music and she is one of my faves but she doesn't hold the #1 spot anymore.

Thank God im not fan of the Theatricality and her fashion and that ****, it just happens i love her music/videos/voice. And to me BTW, ARTPOP & C2C they are so different & fresh and not just plain pop it is what makes me love her & being her fan Sometimes I feel such pity for those fans who stayed in the past, longing TF & TFM, just think that it will never again be the same and they can not accept that, it's very sad.
