Katy's position in between is no surprise. Always thought she shares one wing of her fanbase with Gaga, and another with Taylor. Not so many Gaga and Taylor fans.

Yet the media, which is largely liberal dominated, has been harder on Gaga than on Taylor.

They are harder on Katy too, and she's also pro-GLBT and pro-Democrat.

Of course a wholesome white woman (who used to sing Country) would appear more likable compared to a woman who's career is somewhat dedicated to the LGBT community and fighting for their rights.
