I just listened to what my friends posted on their profiles. Never had many CD's, didn't have cable so we never had any music channels. I randomly came across Just Dance on my own and I loved it. I never really encountered a song like it. It was just so fun and she was such an interesting character. After a while I started to notice that Poker Face was in the related videos. Loving Just Dance as much as I did I felt as if I didn't like Poker Face it would but me off her and I didn't want that. After a while I caved and watched it. It turns out I loved Poker Face even more and the music video was just everything. I took me a while I think to download The Fame but when I did I loved every song which didn't happen to me before. Gaga came on and sang, Poker Face. This was in late spring of '09. It was actually the first time I heard of her. I watched her perform and thought, who is this person? There was nothing really remarkable about the actual interview except I remember thinking she was soft-spoken. During her performance, I was curious, then later interested, then by the summer of 2010 I was hooked and really surprised myself at how much I was enthralled by her. It had been awhile since I shown real interest in a pop star. I remember "catching up" on all I missed (interviews, articles, performances) pre Ellen Show in '09. I still wish I would've joined this site earlier, like in the summer of 2010; I bet I would have loved it. I came to read the news here, but didn't notice the Forum part of the site until much, much later. Lol. I don't think I would have been the same if I hadn't seen that performance. When I realized I was gay I wasn't afraid to tell anyone because of her.
