For one I think the rails would be magnetically charged all the time or something. This hoverboard has to levitate over normal uncharged surfaces. Anomaly 161 Posted October 27, 2014 Share Posted October 27, 2014 So if I understand correctly, 1. this only works on a metal surface, which more than likely needs to be created specifically for this purpose, 2. barely hovers above the ground and only uses technology that has already been used and is in no way groundbreaking (think of the train system in Japan, for example), 3. has barely any control (which, even though they said that future models will have more control, the magnetic fields will still remain fixed, so the range will be very limited and will not provide the proper aesthetic of a hover-board) and 4. they pretty much operate like bumper cars.
